Shadetail panted as the fox trotted away with a laugh. She stared at Firetail, and tried to get up.

Stormflight heard the screeches. "Im going to help him, Im useless now. I might as well die. I'm fatter and easier anyway. I'd rather die a usefull death than of old age in a cave." He walked out into the forest.

Stormflight climbed up into a tree. "Useless. Useless." He said under his breath.

"Oakwing..." Chirped Shadetail, half yelling, half whimpering. "Shadowwing..."

Oakwing woke up. He hurridely placed molt feathers on the eggs to keep them warm and flapped to where snowheart was. "What's going on?"

"I wonder when they'll hatch." Asked Snowheart.

Oakwing heard a tiny cry somewhere. "Where's shadetail?" He asked, ignoring the question.

"She went to the deep part of the forest on a casual hunt with her crush, Firetail." Chirped Snowheart with a smile. She had not heard any screeches. Her sense of hearing was not very well.

"Oak...wing..." Whimpered Shadetail. She closed her eyes and continued to whimper.
