She had decided that he posed no immediate threat and that she could let her guard down just a bit.“Well, what else should I think? I don’t know who you are.” she smiled again, at last comfortable with the situation. He wasn’t one of the more hostile loners she’d come across as her days as an Alpha. She had met some truly awful wolves.
The she-wolf looked up slightly at the sky. The light grey shades of early morning had slowly faded away to reveal a light blue sky. Her eyes narrowed though as the sight of grey clouds rolled towards the forest of pines. It seemed a snowstorm was afoot. She would have to get back to the pack in a bit. She looked back at the loner with a slightly perplexed look. She couldn’t just leave him there; she still wasn’t quite sure what he was doing on Astucia territory.
After another moment of scrutinization, she lost her jesting demeanor.“So are you really doing on Astucia territory?” she asked, tilting her head a bit to the side. Athena constantly did this while inquiring about something of particular interest. It was one of her oddities. But she lived with the notion that most others did this as well, though she’d not met many who did.
The first faint flakes of snow began to gradually and leisurely fall from the sky. Athena looked up, the snow had come faster than she had anticipated. She wasn’t positive about the severity of the storm. She was hoping it wouldn’t turn into a full-blown blizzard. That would only add to the challenges facing the pack.
She turned back to the loner with a look of worry splayed across her face. It was often that her emotions were so blatantly shown, but after all the recent disasters she had faced, she was to emotionally unstable to worry about whether or not her mask of indifference was up or not. She let out yet another, more audible sigh. Hopefully her worries would not come true.
