Another creature from my story, "Guilt."

Mikkens are tiny little rodents, able to fit in the palm of a hand, but they possess very special anatomy. Their ears, tail, and a flexible dorsal sail on their back serve as methods for flight.
A Mikken flies by flapping their ears like wings, while using their dorsal and tail sails to bend and use the air currents to their advantage. They live in close, swarm-like families, making their nest within the trunks of hollow trees.

Mikkens have become very rare within Lorn in recent years, however. The creatures are designed after Ineo (basically, mother nature), and so they feel a great connection to the land around them. Because of this, Mikkens cannot be found in "spoiled" lands. Any place where war and malice have taken reign will flush away any possible Mikkens living nearby.

I am trying to get this book series published. I can't have people making their own, copying off of mine, or me throwing them out to people willy-nilly.
