Disappearance of the Nekos V.2(accepting!)

"yea...I heard that as well.What's that sound anyway?"Kayami asked jewel.

Chess stood up, his ears perked. Turning his head in the direction he heard the sound come from, there was two silhouettes on a roof not far from him. One seemed familiar.

"CHESS~" called a familiar voice, and one silhouette raised a hand to wave. Oh, that's who... he noted.

"Sammy! It's been a while, lil' sis!" he called back, smiling. Sammy quickly mad her way over with the other individual. A short girl in an even shorter dress with long sleeves. Her neko ears revealed her to be another one of his species. He turned to the other girls. "No worries! This is Sammy. We're not actually related, we just act like it." His eyes slid to the bag of cat food. Before she could react, he reached out an snagged it. "You still eat this crap?" He dangled it over her head, just out of reach.

"Yes! It's delicious! Give it back Chess!" Sammy complained, jumping up and snatching it back. "And you didn't even ask about my friend! I thought you'd be happy to meet another girl! This is Seal!"

"Hmph, you didn't even ask about the girls I already had," he rolled his eyes. "This is Miss Lion, aka Jewel, and this is Kayami. Were you planning on stopping by?"

"Yep!" Sammy smiled happily, munching another piece of cat food.

"Great, a full house then for me~" he purred. Sammy hit him playfully in the chest.

"Oh, you player!" she huffed.

(I hope that was the sound you were talking about. If not, maybe they heard two different sounds?)

Jewel warily eyed the two when they came up on the roof. "It's a, uh, pleasure to meet you both." She wasn't sure if she liked all this company. She slowly moved her hands from her ears and dropped them to her sides once more. She rubbed her chin absentmindedly. "Makes me wonder where my cousin is. He's such a worrisome guy, so I'm sure he's probably looking for me." She couldn't help but sigh. Trevor was always a little protective of her.

Chess tilted his head and looked at her. "Well, Miss Lion, with my luck tonight you may just find him. Sammy, who did you say your friend was again?" Chess turned to the new girl. There was something odd about her... He couldn't place his finger on it. Her smell was... different.

"This is Seal! Jeez! It's not like you to forget a girl's name!" Sammy huffed. Seal could feel the penetrating stare of the male neko. This one wasn't as naive as the girl. She would have to be careful... As she was lost in thought, suddenly something sniffed by her ear. Whirling around, the boy was right next to her.

"You smell strange," he stated plainly.

"I-I'm not from around here! I just arrived in this city today!" she gave the first excuse that came to her mind. It was actually a pretty good one.

"Kind of like metal..." he continued.

"I was staying in a rusted out factory! The entire place smelled like it. I don't really notice it much anymore." The lying was coming naturally. He still stared at her warrily.

"CHESS! Stop that!" Sammy complained. He sighed, but smiled a bit, less tense now.

"What, I thought you brought her to entertain me~" he joked.

"No! I can bring friends for myself, can't I?!"

"Oh~? So long I've been calling you my lil' sis, and I didn't even know you were like tha-"

"DON'T JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS LIKE THAT!" Seal now understood why they considered each other to be like siblings. They argued like the little human siblings she saw before. She also now knew she'd need back up. Two nekos were in her range of possibility, but three females and a male were pushing the limit. When she could get alone, she'd send something to the lab.

Jewel rose a brow when Chess seemed rather curious about the newer neko. "With how you were acting earlier, I'm surprised that you care about what she smells like," she said as she shoved her hands into her pockets. She shrugged and turned to face another rooftop. She heard another sound, but she didn't take much mind to this one.

Kiro was nearing the group of nekos. Their scent was so strong... How could he resist? He knew that Seal was there, but she certainly couldn't take care of all of these nekos herself. He clambered onto the dumpster and jumped up, his hands gripping on the roof. He heaved himself up there and sighed with relief. "Whew. I guess I'm not as great a jumper as I used to be," Kiro said and smiled weakly at the group. "It's nice to find more nekos around here. They're quite a rarity nowadays." His white ears poked out of his hair, to show that he was one of them too. "I guess I should introduce myself. I'm Kiro."

Amy watched them from the darkness.
She longed to meet the other nekos,
but she knew she would never be
truly accepted into the group.
She had been following Kiro for a while
now, and had only just realized how pointless it was.

"Pleasure to meet you Kayami." Kiro gave her a warming smile, and his gaze soon flickered over to Seal. He wasn't sure if she wanted to pretend that they were friends or not in this situation, so he didn't say anything about knowing her. "And I'm Jewel," he heard another neko pipe up. "Pleasure to meet you as well." He shoved his hands into his pockets as his left ear flicked a few times. He had heard something else. He rose a brow and peered over the edge of the rooftop. Kiro gritted his teeth and placed his hands on his head to hide his ears quickly. "Don't try anything," he spoke to her, eyeing her warily with the one eye he had.
