Yes I have thirtytwo at the moment, two of my rats had babies, I am not sure how many they had each, beacause they are both looking after all 14 of them together. Its really weird, thet take turns at feeding them, I had no idea rats did that, I thought they would fight to protect thier own babies.

aww that's cute I did not know rats do that either and I have 28 rats and I love them all so much

I have had pet rats before but at the moment I have none. I do however have a whole colony of wild rats living in my barn... They have made a whole maze of tunnels through the roofs insulation, and you can see them crawling around every time you go in. I don't mind them other than the risk of disease, my dad however is planning on killing them all

That sucks. In my house there are some living in the garage, and they wreck the air conditioning systems, so my dad is also planning on killing them. x.x I hate it when they move into your house, because I really don't have the heart to kill them, but don't want the diseases they could give to MY rats, or us.

As much as I love my babies, no more ratties for me until I move out, my dad decrees. Apollo, one of my younger girls took a huge chunk out that soft patch between my thumb and pointer finger. It was bleeding like crazy. What's weird is that she's not aggressive. It may have been I just picked her up too quickly. ):

My dad said no rats until my cat dies, but I'm always trying to beg him for two ratties.

@Lierre Haha. I didn't have to beg much, because I went and researched a bunch and gave this little presentation and he said fine. I have three cats, but only the dogs bother the ratties.

I think part of the reason he won't let me get some is because I wrote a paper about why I need another cat. I got the cat but he wasn't too happy about it. I'm going to try and do a powerpoint instead. x3
