"Morning." Jesse said softly. She stood up, coming to about his shoulder in height. "What happened last night? You scared me." She asked still in a soft voice. She tucked a strand of blonde hair behind her ear as she moved around the room. She put her hair up quickly to keep it out of her face for the rest of the day. She grabbed a peice of paper, and quickly scribbled down a note to the Inn keeper, explaining about last night.

Larkekio kept his eyes on Jesse, intent, but not menacing. As he explained how he anticipated something bad to happen, then the man jumping him out of nowhere, and how he thought he was going to die; he touched her shoulder. "I may be putting you in danger." He told her before he continued on. "The man wanted something from me..." he shuffled around in his cloak for the item, bringing out a large spherical object, emitting a quiet thrum, and glowing faintly. "This is sphere of good and evil." He said, eyes leaving Jesse and focusing on the object.

Jesse looked over at him. She got up and was beside him. "Where did you find that?" She asked, glancing from him to the sphere. Her foster father had told her about the item. And how most people were looking for it to use it for their own will. She had never taken an intrest in such things, thinking it was lost and never was going to be found. But there it was, in Lark's hands. Someone had intended to take it from him, even killing him to get such an item. She placed her hand on his arm as her eyes stayed on him.

"My mother gave it to me before she was killed." Larkekio said, trying to hide the raw emotion. He placed his larger hand over Jesse's, and tucked the sphere back in his cloak. "Never, not in a million years, mention this to anyone." His tone was serious, but his eyes were full of hope. "We have to go to the mountains." Lark smiled at her. "You ready for a quest?" His eyes twinkled.

Jesse smiled. "Sure." She said as she removed her hand from under his. She grabbed her bow and arows and slung them over her back. She opened the door and left it open for when ever Alkia wanted to leave. She glanced over at Lark before turning the corner and out the Inn's door. She waited outside for him, for she didn't know where exactly they were goin in the mountains.

Larkekio gathered up his weapons, his sword and a mace which was hidden in one of his cloak's hollows (places where you can put any item, it just has to fit through the opening). He made sure he had food in his other hollows, and followed Jesse. He nodded to the skittish Inn Keeper as he walked out, placing a hand on Jesse's shoulder, breathing in the cold air deeply. "Questing is an odd thing, makes you forget things but always teaches you something." He sighed. " 'Tis a tiresome task, but I love it." He stated, removing his hand and starting North bound. He shifted into dragon form and looked back at Jesse. "Get on, we've got a long way to travel." A hint of excitement shone in his large eyes.

Jess smiled, not her normal smile, but a caring one. She climbed onto his back, bending her knees, and gripping onto his skin.He felt easy under him, not the other few dragons she had rode.((Wb))

Alkia was in a tree branch near where Jese and Lark were. She waited for them to take off, she would follow them easily.

Larkekio winked at Jesse. "It'll be fine." He assured her. He blinked at the white falcon perched nearby, but otherwise gave no indication that he knew Alkia was there. After drawing in a deep breath, Lark took off smoothly and quickly, the icy wind prickling his smooth face. His onyx scales glittered pink, blue, purple, and green in the cool sunlight. A thrill swept through his body as they ascended high above the treetops, then into the sparse clouds. Moisture tickled his nose and a swoosh of fire escaped his nostrils as he sneezed, then uttering a deep guttural laugh.
