Nicki stood there, leaning into him, her forehead pressed against his chest, her arms slugging at her side, and a blanket hanging over her shoulders. She sighed heavily. Her thoughts to her back to the night Jeff had bit her, and how Damon and herself sat on her roof to watch the stars. It was so much easier when she didn't have to think about death, and the cause of it. What made it worse, was that it was their child.
