The second one, the one that shines.

Name:
Nicholas
Why did I choose that name?:
I always loved that name, Nicholas, it reminds me of innocence actually. It originated in Greece, which Ajax (Unless the Lilian got it for somewhere else) originated in too. His name starts with N to honor his mothers name, I couldn't honor one parent with his name and not the other, why it would make me look...disrespectful? I enjoy nicknames for my characters, Nick is a nice nickname for all, isn't it?
Nicholas means victorious people.
Short Story:
Nicholas laughed as he dashed alongside his litter-mates. The fantastic game was tag and Nicholas saw that he was getting outrun by his sister. Trying to curve in a way to get her away from him resulted in a trip, and before he could get up she had tagged him. Still giggling he got up, his sister had already run off while his other siblings sat around a few feet away, waiting for him to make his move. He laid down in the lush blue grass, hiding himself from them and sneaking a small rest. The pup laid for only a few minutes before deciding to go after his brother.
”He won’t expected a thing..”
He ran out making his sisters run away from him but he didn't bother with them, he was going in for the 'kill'. His brother seeing his intentions, waited until he got close before he darted off. What? Taken by surprised, Nicholas slowed down, making a gap open up between them,
"Hey! Not fair!"
Nicholas yelled, Xerxes only laughed and kept running, Nicholas raced after. His brother was stopped by a warrior, Nick race full stream ahead, he was getting close enough to hear the words,
"-away from this area." His serious tone was softened with a smile "We wouldn't want the mean and ugly Kronadors will gobble you up!" Nicholas bounce up and tagged his brother, he had got him! He run away again, giggling heavily. Xerxes slowly followed. It was only a little while before he started wondering what was taking his brother so long. Running back, he still kept his distance in case his brother was planning a sneak attack.
"What's taking you so long?"
He asked, then notice the look on his brother's face, "I'm tried, don't want to play anymore." He said. Nicholas looked at him in shock.
"You mean you don't wanna play tag anymore?" He grasped, he couldn't help but wagged his tail, "I know! We could play... uh... race! Yeah, we could race!" He said. Xerxes stopped and give him a 'drop dead' look before continuing back to where their sisters where, their eyes drooped and Nicholas began to understand that play time was over. Looking at them made him sleepy, but he still wanted to play...
"Alright, time to go back to the cave."
Said a warrior as he started leading the tired puppies back to their beds. Nicholas wanted to stay out, he tried to sneak to the back, the warrior wouldn’t let him get behind him. Having no choice, Nicholas walked into the entrance. Though his brain started working and what that one warrior had said, the thing about their enemies suddenly interested him.
"Maybe... if no ones looking.."
The young pup muttered, stopping a second to think before walking to his where his litter-mates decided to sleep. Rather then whisper with his siblings, he curled up and pretended to doze. Nicholas’ thoughts turned to his plan, and his heartbeat grew faster. First he would have to get out of the cave, that would be easy.. He would find a Kronador and then he would defeat it. After that he would being it home and show everyone his... He shot his head up and shook it,
”No! I’m not going to go to sleep!
Nicholas woke up and looked around, what was he doing before? The pup took a second before remembering his plan.
”Aww! Why did I have to do that!?”
He silently cursed himself, his eyes were fixed in an annoyance. He laid there, sulking for a few moments before an idea came to mind, he would still do it, even though it wasn't as early as he wanted. He laid still till he sure that his siblings and everyone else in the cave were asleep before getting up, he didn't want to wake anyone. He walked as quietly as a clumsy pup can towards the entrance, and when he finally got there, happy that no one spotted him, continued on his way.
"What are you doing?"
A sharp voice sounded from behind, Nicholas panicked as he looked around, but quickly composed himself.
"Mother said she needed new leaves for her bed. They are not far from here and very easy to get." He lied, hoping he sound like he meant it. The warrior looked at him, doubt arose in her eyes.
"Hmm... I will acompany you, who knows what evil lays out at this time of night."
Nicholas had to look down to hide his disappointment, he wished that this warrior hadn't spotted him, but what was done was done.
"OK." He said, hoping she wouldn't notice his tone, but knowing that she would indeed. On the way there, he followed her though the undergrowth, he considered running into a brush, but that would be not a good idea. While he was thinking, an another warrior came up to the female and muttered something to her. Nicholas's curiosity soared as he watched the two, when they were done she looked at him,
"Get back to the den. Your mother will have to wait for new leaves."
She said before running with off the other wolf. Nicholas was ready for chance, he should go back, by the sound of her voice there was trouble, but he didn't. He wanted to see what was so 'scary', he wanted to see a Kronador. Running to a brush on his way back to the cave, he hid himself.
"I'll wait till I'm sure that no one is around..."
The pup whispered, he was determine to get out and see this world, his world. There was an eerie silence, though Nicholas told himself he wouldn't go back, no matter how scary it got. When he was sure that everyone was sleeping or out of the area he walked out, looking around so no one would scare him again. He only had one more chance, that warrior would remember him and tell the others if he was caught again. Once he was sure, he ran to the woods, where the one warrior watched him and siblings earlier. He got to the woods, stopping to catch his breath.
"It's *pant* hard to *pant* sneak away."
He said, before walking to the undergrowth. Sitting down, he looked around. He had done it, he had got away from his den, passed the evil that tried to stop him, and now he could wonder around. His chest puffed out as he walked, proud of his sneaking abilities. His loud foot steps echoed in the forest, but he didn't care. Nothing could catch him, ‘cause he was the best sneaky warrior that walked Isket.
Nicholas marched on, tried and unhappy. He had walked forever and hadn’t found anything! Stupid warriors thinking that there was danger.. When he got home he would tell everybody that there was nothing in these woods. He turned and looked around for the cave's entrance but couldn't find it.
"No matter, I sure it's right over there."
He said and started off again, he didn’t see it. He didn't care, he knew it was somewhere around here, he wasn't going to panic about something that close. Walking in another direction, he looked around, he started to have doubts that it was close. He now wanted to break down and cry, it just seemed to disappear. Starting to panic, he turned and started off again,
"This must be the way!"
He nearly screamed the words as he nearly ran into a tree. He stopped and started crying, where was he going? He looked up when he heard something on the other side of the tree. He lighten up, it most be a warrior. As he started to go to the other side, he caught the most disgusting smell, it smelt like something rotting, like something... died. Fear swelled up in his belly, what was it? He backed up,
-SNAP-
Nicholas yipped as that twig snapped, he had let a twig scare him? He growled and pushed the broken twig. Stupid thing. It was then he heard rustling, he remember the smell. Fear grabbed hold of him once more, freezing him in one spot. It's ugly face broke from the leaves. The pup’s scream filled the air! The pieces started to fit together, this was the infamous Kronador that struck fear into the hearts of all the warriors, the thing that should of scared
”Me..
Nicholas could of sworn the monster had smirked, it moved it's giant head to the side, allowing it's eye to the look right at his. Nicholas moved just at the right time, running just as the Kronador snapped foreword. The young pup yipped and ran to hide in a brush. The Kronador followed slowly behind. The pup’s whimpers filled the air as the Kronador pulled him out by the tail. Nicholas in vain, bit the thing, but it didn't even flinched. It threw Nick at a tree, he screamed as he nearly hit the target. He whimpered, trying to get up before it came back. The monster leaped at him. Was this it? Was he a goner? Four skilled warriors broke though the undergrowth. They leaped on the Kronador. It let out a loud war cry as they pinned it. It strongly pushed them off and started biting that them! They had to be quick to dodge it’s speedy attack. One of the warriors struck like a cobra. He had aimed and got the soft skin of the neck, the others soon were biting it too. It only took a minute for the creature to stop squirming and then breathing.
"Stupid Kronador! That's he gets for attacking our young."
A warrior said, her face was filled with disgust. An oddly familiar warrior approached him,
"Are you okay?"
He asked, Nicholas looked up, his shaking figured saw his father, who's face was worried and angry, Nicholas felt ashamed for his actions. Nodding he tried to get up, he didn't want to be carried back, he didn't deserve the rest. He limped a little as he walked towards the others. He didn’t want to be grabbed him by his scuff, he didn’t want them to do anything. But, Ajax grabbed his pup. Nicholas wanted to squirm, he wanted this to be a dream. The warriors traveled to their home, Nicholas laid limp though the trip and as they made it to the cave, the sun’s rays starting to shine.
Nicholas stayed in the entrance of the cave, he wouldn't leave it since what had happen a week ago, a whimper escaped him as he remember that night. The way the monster had smirked, the way he smelt.. The way he had attacked him was always his nightmare. He was afraid to be alone in the dark, he was afraid of his own shadow. He shuttered, wishing again he never left, he wished he could had stayed here all night.
"Hi Nicholas."
He jumped, and looked to the side of him, his sister sat there, looking into his eyes. "We need one more player for tag. You will play, right?" Nicholas knew without a doubt that she was trying to help him, who ever heard of a game of tag having to less of players? Well, unless there was only one.
He shook his head, his eyes were dull. He didn't want to do anything.
"But brother, you know you want too."
Nicholas did want to, but the outdoors where Kronador infested, he kept seeing them. He was afraid that if he left the cave, they would find him. But his sister didn't give up that easily, she gently tagged his tail, wagging hers. Nicholas looked at her and a few minutes later started moving his month, and then, after a week of no talking, word formed.
"W-what are you doing?"
He asked, his sister yapped in delight, he had spoke. wagging her tail ferociously, she tackled him.
"You talked! Brother talked!"
Her voice rang though the camp, Nicholas looked at her for a moment before smiling,
"Yeah.. I did. I'm talking!"
And once he found his voice, he ran out, happy to be 'alive' again. But soon ran back in,
"Er, I'm still not going outside.."
He whispered, though the smile stayed.
"But brother! Tag?"
His sister was detirmined to get him out. Nicholas looked at her,
"Er, well, Kronadors..."
He muttered, his smile began to fade,
"What about them? They wouldn't dare try to get you when I'm around!"
She said fiercely, making him smile a sad smile, he walked further into the den,
"It's not like that, sis, it took four warriors to take it down."
His sister became silent, she most have been rethinking her words. He walked up to her, gently cuddling her. He didn't fill in the details but told her about the night, it was the first time anyone knew the truth, the first time he let it off his chest, and it made him feel incredible.
In a few more weeks he was out there, playing with his sibling, though he was different, he changed. He tended to look at the forest, his eyes were filled with knowledge, he knew the dangers, he knew the cost. As long as he was around he didn't want anyone else to get hurt, he had to make sure of it.

What attracted you to Puppy 2?:
You are my sunshine
To tell the truth, I wasn't to excited about this batch, the one I liked was 4 but I didn't need her. I looked again at #1, he was still iffy, his eye markings didn't agree with me. But then I drew him and it was love. He makes me so happy, I don't why, but there is something about his design that makes me as happy as a cup of coffee. He is amazingly fun to draw, I can remember his design, I can basically remember the colors, it's just perfect. <3
I would like a Woi for the roleplay, but even if the board told me I wasn't allowed to join it (I know you guys wouldn't) I would still want him, heck I would want him if the only thing I could do was stare at a picture of him. The gift lines are amazing, but not as amazing as his markings, so it wouldn't be completed without Nicholas.. now I'm starting to sound corny. x] Well, if I don't get him, I will be sad, granted, but let's not dwell on that. I only ask that the person that they love him and would let me draw fanart for him. I also ask that my armor not be used, even if I don't ever get a WOI I may want the armor for my other characters.
Say three things about the WoI:
One; Only male custom can mate with normal wolves to have pups, females customs and male normals can't have litters.
Two; Den appear to be normal caves but have a network of tunnels once inside.
Three; You are not allowed to make your WOI into a human, anthro, or normal wolf. They are Woi's, end.
The second one, the one that shines.
