Sage smiled down at the boy. "You know, you still count as a child to me" he said, teasing. "Kiernan's asleep?" he asked

Jae smirked, "Yeah I know. She's asleep! Now I'm off to explore and get lost doing so!" Jae said walking away heading downstairs.

Sage frowned. "You...ah, might not want to go down there."

"Why would that be?" Jae asked turning to look at Sage.

"This mansion... is spelled... to keep certian things in. The basement is mostly the dungeon.... where we hold vampires and exile Fae....." Sage said, not wanting to upset the child.

"Most interesting things are always in the basement..." Jae said still wlking down.

Sage swallowed. He didn't want Jae to see his father, bloody and tortured. Kiernan was right, she had put the vamp on the brink of death, but then spared him.

Jae kept walking down, "I'm guessing you're not coming with right? Is there anything dangerous to me down here?" he asked.

"yes. " Sage said, quickly, and stepped in front of Jae. "If you heed my warning, you will not go down there unless Kiernan takes you."

Jae sighs, "Fine, I'm starting upstairs though," he says going upstairs being quiet so as not to wake Kier.
