Evie let out a quiet sigh as she and three others made their way through the dark forest. The sound of shoes snapping twigs and crushing dead leaves seemed to be the only thing that could be heard for miles. This was a stupid idea she thought to herself as she glanced over at the other three members of the group. But since the fog had gotten so thick as the night went on, all she was able to see were three blurry sihlouettes of whom she hoped to be her three best friends. She hated feeling so vulnerable, not being able to see two feet in front of her.
"So," she said, the sound of her voice breaking the still silence. "Not one of our best ideas.." she added on with a soft laugh, biting on her lower lip piercing as she awaited their responses.

Dimitri looked around the dark forest. Each tree seemed to be reaching for them. He looked over at Evangeline. "Who's stupid idea was this? What could there be in a forest?" he asked out loud. He could barely make out the others through the fog.

"I agree. Who was the one that suggested we go into the forest of no return anyway?" Ivy asked looking over to her friends. The forest was really foggy, you could only see about a foot away from you and thats it, everything else is covered by fog. Ivy sighed and shivered a bit.

Christopher lifted his head, then breathed in deeply. "Hey. Guys. Someone's coming." he whispered to the others, knowing they'd hear. There were four, he could smell them. He also smelled the fear on them. Chris smiled and stood up staight on the branch he was on, then jumped down, the leaves under him crunching and bringing noise into the forest. He crep closer to where the scent had been coming from, not bothering to wait for the others.

"And what's with this fog? I swear it was clear a couple hours ago. That or I might be going crazy," Dimitri said. He tried to focus his vision in the fog. The trees were close together so there wasn't much to see. He had a bad feeling about this place.

Ivy looked around her and back to her friends. "Are we going to just look around or what?" Ivy asked. She had a feeling that there was something out there but she couldn't see through the thick fog. Ivy almost tripped over a branch, but she managed to regain her footing. She looked down at the ground, then back at her friends.

"I thought this was your idea" Evangeline murmured in response to Dimitri's question. "Because it definitley wasn't mine..I'm still not sure how you guys talked me into doing this in the first place" she added on, playfully rolling her eyes, though no one could see because of the darkness, the thick fog wasn't helping either. She nervously bit her lower lip, letting the words to a song flow through her mind to keep the thoughts of what the so called monsters they were searching for might be like.
"What else are we suppose to do?" Evie said as she looked over at Ivy..well, the blurry silhouette that looked most like Ivy. "Honestly, I hope we don't find anything.." she murmured quietly to herself, too low for the other three to hear.

Christopher ducked his head low. He could hear their voices now. Chris jumped up into a leafless tree, then narrowed his wyes so he could see through the fog. Two choices, he could either attack them all, or pretend to be human. He crouched down low on the branch he was on, then jumped onto another tree, a few leaves falling from the branches of the dying tree. "One. Two. Three. Four." he whispered, smiling down at them.
