Her breath quite shallow as they passed, Vycaze perked her ears in hearing them pass by her bramble-covered den. A small smile crossed her lips in relief and she stood in the dimly lit cave. Yawning, her paws brought her outside quietly.

The air was still as she exited the cave. Bringing her muzzle to the air swiftly, a howl slipped out and she sat there, the breeze suddenly whipping around her. The howl was a beautiful thing; but only a part of the past, as she ended it and yawned once more carefully.

The howl sent a message: "Alpha of a nearby pack, come to me."
