"Awesome." Stella said.
"Carrots are awesome, she bit into one, "Improving my eyesight always helps." She laughed.
"I play a bit of tennis and netball, and I like to go swimming in the summer." Stella told Ellis. "Hey, you don't happen to have any peaches do you?"

(I'm not gunna be on tomorrow or the next day, well maybe tomorrow, because I'm going to the hospital, and it's totally my fault T-T)
Ellis squinted, thinking,
"Not any ripe ones," she said, "buuuuuuut! My neighbour grows peaches," she paused, "Do you want them that bad?" she asked, laughing, "He lives down the road some, i mean, a lot, about 3kms." she laughed and bit into another carrot slathered in dip.

"Ohh your neighbour?" Stella asked eagerly. But when she heard the news that Ellis's neighbour was 3k away, her face went solemn. "Dude! That's not neighbour! That's ages away down the stre- I have an idea." Stella said, like a lightbulb just flicked on. "Do you have any bikes?"

"I have one," Ellis paused, "Two!" she smiled and jumped up, she put the plate of food into the fridge and ran out the front,
"Come on!" she called. Ellis paused out the front and turned to go down the side of the house,
"It's- yours down here," she called as she crawled under the house and dragged a rusty bike out,
"It looks bad," she paused, "it's only been down there for like 6 months." she beamed.

Stella skipped down. "They're beautiful. Didn't know you likes to collect 80's bikes!" Stella beamed. She hoped on one, and rolled calmly along. "How come you had two?" Stella asked randomly.

Ellis jumped on her bike,
"I used to have a room mate," she said, "He moved out." she paused, and her eyes started watering,
"We were," she paused again, "closer than you average friends." she looked at Stella and smiled,
"My bikes are pretty damn sexy though," she laughed, looking down at the pale blue handle bars of her own bike.

"Sexy indeed." Stella joked along, after 8 years, it still felt awkward saying 'sexy'. 'It's only a word.' she reminded herself.
"I love bikes with baskets... They're tank!" Said Stella, laughing.

"Agree!" laughed Ellis,
"Do you own a bike as awesome as mine?" she asked, curious. Ellis looked past Stella and out onto the field behind her, it was all so green.

"It's more of a mountain bike... It," Stella took a deep breath, looking down at the ground beneath her, as if in deep concerntration. "It belonged to my dad." Her voice quivered a whisper, tears threatening to plop onto her knees. Stella had just managed to gulp away the tears, and blink, giving her eyes a wet shimmer.

Ellis heard the hesitation,
"Nice," she said, "Look! Horses! Rob has horses, we can't ride them, but we can pat them and stuff." she said, rambling on,
"You really wanted those peaches," she laughed, "Considering you'd bike 3km to get them." she laughed again and sat up, letting go of the handles and gliding along, still in a straight line and still pedaling.
