Art theft is when you use someone's own drawing, something they created, or as a photo, requires much less time + imagination to make than a drawing. Since it wasn't a drawing, it wasn't art theft.
Besides, people draw rats all of the time!
Cute drawing, nice realism. I suggest next time not basing so much on the ref., but that's up to you.
