Arowin gave Emerald another hug and then gently passed her to Frank. "Get her out of here now!" she commanded. "The Hood will be just outside the Walls pretending to be Gypsys. They will hide you. "Leave straight away with the others. I will try catch up later." she said and pulled out a map from her shirt. It had to be hidden when the guards had caught them. She knew it completely off by heart and handed it to Frank. "These are hidden passages in and arround the castle. Go now." she said dissapearing down the corridor.

Frank nodded, studying the map before picking up Emerald and holding her tightly. He watched Arrowin disapeer She better have a good plan he thought to himself, quickly giving Guy a glance before running the other way to one of the passage ways. It was hidden behind a tapestry just to the right to the entrance of the dungeons. He slipped underneath and gave the wall a kick, the entrance opening sending dust flying everywhere. Frank ran until his limbs burned, glancing down at the sodden Emerald "Hey, were going to be okay" he said reasuringly.

As Arrowin ran off Emerald outstretched her hand as if to try and bring her back but as she started running off she pulled it bac and started sobbing harder. She buried her face in Frank's shoulder, her arms around his neck. She felt even worse now, inside and out. She barely heard Frank's comforting words, but she wrapped her arms tighter around him. He was all she had left right now. She wiped the blood away from her right eye and opened them briefly before squeezing them shut again.

Frank slid to a stop at the end of the passage way, pressing his ear against the door. It sounded clear so he gingerly pushed the door ajar, and looked out. They had ended up near the drainage tunnel that led into town. He stepped out and jogged over to behind a nearby hut. He placed Emerald down and sat next to her, his arm wrapped tight as he tried to catch his breath "Nearly out Em, then you'll be safe" he said,kissing the top of her head.

Emerald had nearly passed out by now but she leaned into Frank and nodded. "Thank you." she mouthed, her voice still not working. She took in a deep breath and winced, another tear streaking down her cheek.

Frank smirked and stood up, placing his hand on her shoulders "Stay here for one moment" he said softly, placing his jumper over her. He then quickly jogged around the side of the building and back up to the castle. He stood next to one of the market stalls and whistled. A scream answered him and then shouts of confusion and panic came from the courtyard. It was Diad, dragging a very unlucky stable boy being dragged behind. The stallion charged down the main path out into the village. At the precise moment the stallion came next to the stall, Frank launched himself out and vaulted into the saddle, pulling Diad to a halt "Stupid stable boy, you should learn to let go" he said, frowning down at the now battered and bruised boy. He then rode forward, before turning down an alley and back to Emerald, jumping off and scopping her up into his arms, placing her on Diad and jumping onto the back, clicking the stallion forward towards the main gates.

Emerald gasped when Frank picked her up and placed her on Diad. She had been sitting in one position for so long and the movement made every wound blast with pain. She grabbed a fistful of Diad's mane as she started feeling light headed again. She leaned back into Frank and started to black out.

Frank galloped the stallion out into the grounds, heading around the east wall. He felt Emerald grow heavier and gave a quick glance down, he noticed her eyes closing "Emerald?!" he called out, placing his hand on her face and letting go of Diads reins at the same time. He tried to open her eyes and called to her.

Emerald felt hands on her face and then the bright sun burn her eyes. She blinked until her eyes got used to the sun's brightness and then looked over at Frank. He looked worried. "What?" she managed to choke out through gritted teeth. She grabbed Frank's hand and weakly tried to pull it away from her face. "Steer. I'll be fine."

Frank frowned, slightly confused "Your passing out Em?" he answered her, doing what she said and grabbing the reins, slowing Diad down into his smooth trot, his eyes scanning for the others and wondering what Arrowin was actually doing.
