Mudsplash hoped Shadowwhisper would be able to find out what was wrong with Cracklepaw. He had never seen an apprentice that didn't want to hunt, fight or patrol. It had been his favorite things to do as an apprentice.

The black tom looked down at the apprentice and shrugged. "It's in my blood, as it is in yours. What do you plan to gain by sitting in camp doing nothing? Apprentices earn their food you know.. if you don't do anything you won't get anything in return. And, seeing as you don't know how to hunt.. you have to trust others to teach you.. and to help you learn. And in turn, you help to defend those who are your teachers." Shadowwhisper told her. "I do it because I am helping to strengthen our clan, look around you. Do you not see those who can no longer fight for themselves? Or those who are to young? ... How about those who take pride in taking care of them.. would you let a kit die because you didn't want to get out of your nest and go hunting or on patrols? It could come down to that one day." he told her, raising an eyebrow at her.

Crackelpaw felt bad as he spoke, but instead lifted her nose and made a 'humph' sound. "You wouldn't understand..." She murmured to him, frowning afterwards. "I just don't like it." She growled.

Shadowwhisper frowned, "Explain then." he told her.

Jaystar frowned when his emerald eyes found comotion in the clan. He watched with slight alarm as Cracklepaw attacked Darkpaw, and he shook his head. Thankfully Shadowwhisper was on the scene, and he knew his deputy could control it, yet Jaystar was still curious of the situation. With a swift leap, he jumped from his rock and padded over to Cracklepaw and the others around her, his face showing slight concern. "Is everything alright?" He asked, giving Shadowwhisper a side glance before resting his gaze softly upon Cracklepaw.

Darkpaw gave himself a shake and lifted his chin, showing he wasnt at all moved by what she had done. Turning on his paws, he spun and stalked back to Frozenstorm. "Where are we going?" he asked, more shortly than he meant to.
