The Pup and the Kind One

(Alright, I will try a story, but don't expect it to be any good.)

He could barely remember his old life. He was a normal pup, he played with his siblings and mother. Until one day they took him away. They experemented on him. Hurt him. And locked away the result. He had cried for days.

One day he desided to end his life, get rid of the misery the humans had caused. Then he heard a voice.

"It's okay."

The pup looked up and saw a wolf, wearing a white robe, looking at him with her crystal eyes.

"Are you my mommy?"

The Kind One looked at the pup.

"No."

She walked over to him and licked his cheek.

"But I will still protect you."

The pup, for the first time in moths felt happy. He met the kind one every day. He played with her and they talked. Then one day the pup asked about her mask.

"My mask? What about it?"

She had said, a hint of worry going into her voice. The smile on the pup's face faded slightly, as if he knew he was talking about a subject that the Kind One didn't want to talk about. The pup asked anyway.

"Um, I wanted to know why you wear one."

The Kind One looked down at her feet.

"Because I have to."

And that was all that was asked. When the pup fell asleep at night the Kind One kissed his head.

"He shal never know."

Annabelle and Jake







The blond girl clutched the boy's hand as the roller-coaster dipped down with a mighty, deafening roar. Jake laughed softly.
"Come on, Annabelle. You were the one who asked to go on this ride!" He wrapped his arms around the shivering girl as the roller-coaster slowly creaked up the tracks.
Annabelle smiled up at Jake. "I suppose," she murmured. She ruffled his caramel hair and kissed his cheek softly. She leaned against his steady chest, listening to his steady heartbeat.
After the roller-coaster plunged down once more, it came to a halt. Jake stepped out, holding Annabelle's hand. He took out his cellphone, frowning.
"What's wrong?" asked Annabelle, clearly worried. Jake quickly pressed a couple of buttons on his phone, then slid it back into his pocket once more.
"Oh, nothing. My mom's just coming by to pick me up," he answered. "See you later, Anna," he said quickly, pressing his lips against hers. He then turned around and walked away.

Jake laid down in his bed, his legs aching from soccer practice. He sank his head into the pillow, closed his tired eyes, and was fast asleep within minutes.
Meanwhile, a blonde girl lurked outside his bedroom door. She crept in once the house was pitch black, illuminated only by the pale silver moonlight. It turned her skin to silver as she walked into the bedroom.
She pulled something out of the folds of her scarlet dress. There was a flash of a silver blade as she sank it swiftly and silently into Jake's chest.
Jake's eyes flew open at the harsh pain. He stared at the long, sinister blade of the dagger in his chest and the crimson blood that was soaking his body. "Annabelle? What- Why did you do this?" he said weakly from the loss of blood.
"I'm so sorry. They made me do it," whispered Annabelle softly. The light from Jake's eyes began to fade as she clutched his hand like she had done earlier that day.
Annabelle laid her fingers upon his eyes and shut them delicately. She then leaned down to kiss his cold lips. "Sweet Dreams," she murmured softly. She cast one last glance at his moonlight bathed body and stepped out the door.

(Ugh, that failed.)

Curled up. Staring blankly at a wall.
That's all i could do to keep myself from crying.
From letting them spill over.
"Are you sick?"
Her voice stung. I flinched.
"Sick? Oh yes, darling. i am sick. i am terribly sick. i am a monster, that's how sick i am. i am careless, unlovable, unwanted. My dear, i am very sick. Very sick indeed."
I lift my head to look up at her beautiful face, her lovely blue leopard coat. Her amber eyes staring at me with confusion. Her head tilted. Everything about her was gorgeous.
My heavy lidded eyes stared for a while.
"Are you mad?"
She spoke clearly. Whether she meant crazy or angry, i don't know.
But there was no harsh tone in her voice.
"I am very mad as well. Madly in love with you."
