Sophie clicked her tongue and Dark Angel cleared the next couple of jumps. There was a long stretch ahead now and a five rung jump. She bit her lip and urged Dark Angel into a gallop, then a canter. They soared over the last jump and landed.

Devon smiled, and looked at her and the horse, hoping they were going to do good.

Sophie, who'd been last, manuevered the mare from the corral while they tallied up the score. Finally, they announced the winners.
"Third place: Josh Rally. Second place: Jason Hetley. And, in first place and winner of this years Winterbridge cup is.... Sophia Little-Grove!" The announcer called.

Devon clapped, and stood up. He smiled, feeling really happy for her.

Sophie rose into the Winners circle and accepted her prize. She smiled at the camera and let them take her picture with Dark Angel. When they were done with pictures and interveiws, she was reieved to return to the stables.

Devon was in the stables, being able to find them with ease. He looked at her. "Good job, Sophie."

Sophie looked up with a lopsided smile and shrugged. "It was nothing."

Devon smiled, and said, "It didn't look like nothing out there. And if you want me to stop calling you sexy, wearing that won't help."

Sophie rolled her eyes in annoyance. "Guys are so stupid." She muttered under her breath, taking off the hat and letting her hair down.
