Ingo looked up into his face, her eyes searching and soulful, "He was never mine," she muttered and also looked to the floor, she glanced back up at him, "It was never your fault, none of it was and none of it ever could be," she said strongly, for she was determined that if anything came out of this conversation it was her belief in that fact. She took in a depp breath and her eyes rested on the floor, only gently trailing back up, sweeping over his face when he told her. "The black-smith and the street-rat," she said, "What an unlikely pair," she leant up nervously, the toes of her boots firmly on the ground, her heels raised. Then, as if in some alternative fairytale, she kissed him.

Liam was about to reply when she stood on her tip-toes and kissed him. He wasn't expecting it- he almost pulled away before realizing how stupid that would be. Instead he put his arms around the first mate and held her close, never wanting to let her go again. Eventually he did, but it was reluctantly. "I suppose that's what happens when you choose a pirate's life," said the blacksmith wryly. "Things you never expect."

Ingo's heels gently dropped back onto the floor, but she remained looking up at Liam. Her hand found his and she nodded. That was always what happened, things you never expected and things you never wanted to have seen, but though things could always get worse, today, for Ingo, things had suddenly got better. The underlying worry for her captain was still strong, though nothing was to stop her from taking some relish in the light that was flooding her heart.

Liam stood for a moment, looking down at Ingo with a bit of an awkward smile on his face, but then it broke into a grin. He laughed and squeezed her fingers gently, saying, "I think we've all had a rough trip at sea. You know what we need? A quiet dinner, without drinking, drunk pirates dancing on the tables, or food that looks like it might jump of of the plate. There's got to be a little eating-house nearby."

Ingo smiled back up at him, for once not really caring about the height difference. "I like the sound of that," said Ingo, smiling a little more. That was what she need, what she longed for, just a calm night, where you didn't have to worry about everything, where she could let go.

"Since I was rather unconscious when we arrived," said Liam with a wry grin, "I'm not exactly sure where we might go. Maybe down towards the marketplace?"

Sonja towed Rodney along behind her as she made her way through the market, checking for Melody and Emerald at each stall. Then she saw Melody's red hair up ahead, bound up in a colorful scarf. They seemed to be finished bartering with the shopkeeper- in fact, he was practically giving the sailcloth away. Sonja grinned- Melody was useful for more than Quartermaster work, that was for sure.

Ingo smiled, "That's probably our best bet," she replied, "Goodness only knows where the others are by now, but Melody and Emerald were getting supplies at least," she said, as she began to walk to the marketplace.

Rodney squeezed his way through many people, pcikpocketing a few in the squeeze, and claiming their money for his own. He couldn't quite see Melody, as he wasn't tall enough but a flash of colour and red hair was enough to let him know they were close.

Emerald had stayed towards the shadows, tripping people for the fun of it, while Melody got the sail supplies. She had so far tripped two little kids, three old ladies, and very handsome fisherman who she had tripped just so she could see him for a while longer. She smirked and looked up at the sky innocently as she stuck her foot out again. A man in his forties went sprawling across the ground, Emerald trying not to laugh hysterically. She was standing behind a stack of saill cloths so nobody could see her. The people seemed to be tripping over their own feet, and to Emerald it was the funniest thing she had seen in a while.

Melody bought the supplies she needed and smiled at the man behind the counter, giving him a little extra tip as a sort of apology. He wasn't ever going to see her again, which was fine by her, but it would break his poor little puppy-dog heart. Taking her supplies, she took her scarf from around her waist and bound her hair up in it, making herself seem like an older woman as she turned a corner to where Emerald was hiding. "Daaaarling!" she called, making her voice sound ridiculous and posh. Bustling up to Emerald, she grabbed the young woman's arm and pulled her upright, brushing her off as if she were a naughty child. "Whaaaaaat have I told you about hiding from your poor, dear old mother? Come along, and we'll have tea before we go shopping tonight." Grabbing Emerald's arm, Melody hunched herself over in order to appear like an elderly woman. She did not approve in the slightest of Emerald's odd hobbies, especially not when they involved tripping and robbing harmless old women or small children who had probably begged all day just to get the coins she had stolen from them. Every crewmember got their fair share of loot- they didn't have to steal from landlubbers.
