"Musicpaw gave him poppyseeds because he hurt his tooth," Dawnweaver explained calmly.

"When can I eat?" She asked, running her tongue over her small teeth. She wondered if Iceshadow was back yet.

"Ask Pearltail," Dawnweaver said hesitantly, not able to think of any other reply.

Pearltail made sure Tigerkit and Snowkit were fine, then slipped outside. She saw Patchkit and said "You are hungry? Tigerkit and Snowkit's feeding time is near..."

Rainsong peeked into the nursery carrying a mouse and a thrush for the queens. "Oh, good!" she purred, seeing the kits. "They're feeding!"

"Are we almost there?" Fernpaw asked, noticing scent changes. She was becoming uncomfortable with different surroundings.
