Sheriff looked around eagerly as well. His group of eight behind him started doing the same. "Well this was easier than I thought." he muttered to himself. He looked down at Saya with an actually delighted little smile and nodded forwards. "Lead the way! You're doing great!"

Saya mounts up again and that gives her the way as she follows the tracks very carefully.

Sheriff eagerly followed Saya. He turned behind him, a smirk on his lips. "Be on guard. Who knows where these bandits will be hiding." he warned his small group.

Saya stops after a couple of minutes. She dismounted and began to look around. "Why is it so quiet?"

Sheriff shrugged and looked around as well. "I have no idea." he replied suspiciously.

Saya walks forward and kneels infront of a bush and sees the limbs are broken some.

Frank had kept riding down the track, Diad plodding along as usual until nearby voices faltered the pair. Frank froze, withdrawing his mace as he forced the stallion up the side of the track to get a better view. Frank narrowed his eyes as he peered through the trees in front of him and he noticed a figure on the floor and one on a horse. His heartbeat raced as he realised that it was the sheriff and some of the royal guards.

Sheriff sighed and cracked his neck. "What is it? Were they here?" he asked eagerly. His old blue eyes were filled with excitement and greed. He wasn't sure he could handle much more of this waiting. He wanted to just go back with Guy and John so they could gallop on ahead with the hawk. But having Saya as a tracker was better than nothing he guessed. Archer, Sheriff's newly named horse, tossed his head and looked towards Frank and Diad. He nickered a greeting and swooshed his tail around, Sheriff paying no attention.

Diad nickered back to the other horse, stamping around slightly. Frank hushed the stallion pulling hard on the reins to stand him still, some light snow falling down the bank from the horses movements.

Archer, excited somebody had actually answered him, whinnied back. Normally the horses at the stables ignored him, so this was something new to him. Sheriff had heard Diad nicker and looked around. Where had it come from, and was it the Hood? "Sir, over there!" said a knight, pointing towards Frank and Diad. Sheriff looked up through the trees, his old eyes not able to see them at first. He smirked. "Are you spying on us Frank?" he asked sarcastically.
