Mitch gave her a smile as she left and then he moved to lay on the grass, the snow falling onto his back as he lay with his ears still high and his nose still on alert.

BlackThunder looked around and figured everyone was busy, she trotted off towards the hunting grounds. All scents erased byt eh snow, she knew it would be hard to find small prey. Picking up speed and leaping through snow drifts she soon came to an elk. It was alone and seemed injured, slowly she circle the spot where it lay.

Kanji perked his ears, too bad scents were muffled by the snow... it would be so much easier to hunt without the snow. After wandering for hours sniffing the air and ground he gave up on trying to catch anything. He looked around him, there were a few faint paw prints, must be a pack here.

jade walked her ear pricked high and her nose to the ground as she stiffed

Raised her head, the camp seemed deserted s everyone was out hunting, her stomach rumbled loudly, she poked her head out of her den, and glanced at the fresh kill pile, drawing her tongue around her mouth, she shook her head. She would not eat till the rest of her pack had returned. She padded out of camp decided she should hunt a little more, she sniffed the air, trying to find the scent of prey, but no; no scent, she growled slightly, and padded away towards the river. She looked at the frozen river, she placed her paw on a bit of thin ice, and pushed down, the ice cracked away, and she lowered her head lapping up the cold water.

jade walked her ear pricked high and her nose to the ground as she stiffed

BlackThunder squared her shoulders after she had determined what was wrong with the animal. It had slept out here yesterday and the cold had almost killed it completley. Quickly she leapt from her hiding place amongst the brush and grabbed onto it's neck. None of this was neccessary because the animal was already so numbed by the cold. It's motor skills were desimated. She killed it quickly by snapping it's neck. Panting from the cold, she started dragging the small elk back to camp. It wasn't much but it was food.

Mitch smiled as he finally smelt a rabbit near by and all he wanted to do was chase it for the thrill and the excitment as you bearly get any though winter.

Raised her head from drinking, and turned to head back to camp, her stomach rumbling loudly again. She entered camp, to see a little more prey on the fresh kill pile, she smiled softly, maybe for once everyone can enjoy a good meal tonight, and not go to bed hungry, she smiled, letting out a yawn.

BlackThunder entered camp, slightly out of breath from pulling the elk in the cold. She put it next to the rest of the kill and nodded, good enough to get by on until the storm came. She looked around camp and saw Star.
