Hawk carried a large stag, that had broken it's leg during a fight over dominence, back into the pack lands. This was a lucky catch, something he figured wouldn't happen again. He flicked his tail and howled, letting everyone know that he had a fresh catch. It's been at least five days since the High Rain's attacks, and they hadn't found any food, except this... to replace what the High Rains destroyed. The brute snorted, ad did a head count, making sure everyone was at the camp, before he started eating. He heard KArin comming back in the distance, and barked "Karin, there's some food here." he said, chewing.

Coraline
Coraline looked at her mate as he seemed shocked she was so calm, after a while of things like that happening it got so constant that she couldn't help but be calm. Coraline walked from the den and looked at the sniveling male and watched as he tried to squirm away from her and she shook her head. She decided giving him the mercy of killing him fully was not good enough for him so she would let him bleed into the snow. She walked to the food and ripped open the stomach, the smell of the warm meat made her mouth water and she began to eat hungrily, tearing large chunks and eating quickly. Coraline then stopped, full. She stretched and said, "If you are so anxious to go... Let us go."

Triant took several huge bites and chewed slowly, able to hear the male behind them gasping for air as he bled out. Triant wasn't a wolf for mercy especially if he tried violating Coraline. His ears perked at her last comment and he swollowed. 'Alright then." He trotted away and let the vukltures and coyotes have the kill, he started running after that back towards his cousin's pack. He felt slightly uneasy about taking her pups but she knew it was for the best and he did too. Racing through the snow he looked at the sky and began calculating how long they had, they still needed to return to the Eagle pack and collect the pups they had been promised, hopefully Charon would not be there as Triant needed Coraline's head in the game.

Coraline
It would not mater if Coralines father was there, her head was already in another world... In the time her father had left them and the time she had killed her own sister... Horrible thoughts but she needed to think of something other then the hormones in her body urging her to find a male to mate her. She continued to run after Triant, the feeling of running felt good but it made ehr want to go faster, to run as fast as she possibly could and then keep going. It was that energy and burning need but hse stayed next to Triant, not bothering to try and go past him like she wanted. Coraline was not as kind or playful as she had been when Triant had left. She was wondering when he was truly notice that the loving side of her had disappeared to a smaller amount then it ever had been... She had become distant and cold and found ti harder to show affection to her own mate...

Triant sniffed the air as they neared the territory, his cousin would be waiting. Triant hadn't fully noticed the chnages in Coraline, but he had noticed a difference, she was distant and not as playful. It was odd really but it was what Triant wanted right? He looked bakc at his mate who seemed to be in her own thoughts, it worried him about how distant she had been, but then it pleased him how mercilous she was now, just like he was. It was a trait he could have never found in Starpelt, she was always trying to get his attention and she hated it when he harmed another wolf, she was one of those peacemakers and hated fighting. It had annoyed Triant and was one of the reasons they had split. As Triant thought, Aurora was waiting outside the den site with her three pups, they were wrapped in a bundle of elk skin and it was surprising how small they were. Triant stopped and looked at her "Are you sure you want to do this?" he asked. She nodded to him and nudged his shoulder, he hesitated but nodded back taking the pups from her. 'They have just nursed and as promised I will follow you to the end of the mountain, then I must return." Triant swallowed and started running again, he ripped the bundle tightly so that they wouldn't bounce as he ran, they needed a den mother to nurse them once they returned.

Coraline
Coraline continued to run, looking at the pups. She didn't soften at the sight of them though like she might have had before he had left. She simply watched the scene and looked around, watching as wolves stared at her curiously. She bared her teeth and they backed up and went back to what they were doing. Her fathers advice before he had left... The night he had left... Still rang through her ears; don't put your life in someones hands, they are bound to steal it away... Don't hide your mistakes because they will find you, burn you... If you want to get out alive... Run for your life. It was words she usually lived by... Then there were her last sisters words; its hard to imagine but one day you'll end up like me... if you want to get out alive run for your life. These were the words her sister had said before Coraline had killed her... A punishment for killing their mother. Coraline never thought she would end up like her sister; willing to kill for no reason, but she was now.... All that was needed was to be killed by a sister... Then it would be true... She didn't plan on being killed though. Not yet. Not ever. She followed Triant, her body ached slightly from and unknown cause. Coraline was slowly moving from the pack, distancing herself from the ones she loved.

(I got my hands full already with the pups that will eventually come from Coraline and Triant.... I just got to whack Triant enough to see if he will finally get brain dead enough to follow his instincts!)

Aurora looked back at Coraline sensing something off about her but ignored it, it wasn't her place. She ran next to Triant and looked at her pups every so often making sure they were alright, her legs were long and firm so she was able to keep up with her larger cousin. Triant looked around watching birds circle and coyotes scavenge, the mountain was definetly a peaceful place... or so it seemed. Triant's fur prickled and he suddenly felt like he was being watched, stopping the brute set the pups down and sniffed the air, it was way to quiet. The wind was no longer swaying and no birds chirped, something was wrong Aurora sensed nothing until Triant's scent filled her nostrils, she glanced around warily and stepped a few feet ahead. "Something wrong Triant, I don't like this" The brute didn't have to say anything to agree, the blood stench explained why the birds were circling. He let Aurora take her pups and slowly stalked along the snow.
