Trade Rant Thread. /New/

Ugh, this is really starting to get annoying, I need a lab coat to dress up my new green sorbet so I sent out a total of eleven trades to different people asking for the lab coat item and offering fairly, two cancelled the rest logged off the minute I sent the trade, I've been trying to get that coat for an hour now, this is starting to get on my nerves. Why do I have such terrible trade luck when trying to find something so common?

This happened to my friend before she quit. A person didn't want to give her an item without taking an advantage of her rare pets...

I mean, I know the answer. Pandora Hearts is one of my favorite animes/mangas ever. But that seems pretty unreasonable/unfair to a ton of other people e.e;; I hate random rules like that.

See, it's messages like that that annoy me. As if they assumed I had already accepted. Arrogance is a horrible quality.

its not being arrogant, its just a simple thank you and most people are happy with that, if your not happy with that then put it in your trade rules to put something more than thank you..that way you don't have that problem hopefully.

I think it's the fact that they're thanking them before the trade is even accepted...like they feel ahead of time that they're entitled to having their trade accepted. Counting your chicks before they hatch, no?

I can see where people would see that, i see a thank you and just thanking the person for looking at the trade.

I actually find it incredibly obnoxious if someone types 'Thank you' as their only message in the trade they sent. As Blue Sky Noise said, it feels as though if they are certain I will accept, even when the trade is ridiculously unfair to me or it simply has nothing I was searching for... although usually it is a combination of both.

I have a small rant... People who have in their trade rules things like:

Please only pick pets from my "Duplicates" group; the rest are just for show!
I'm not kidding, I will automatically cancel the trade even if it's a great offer.

Groups aren't for trade? Then lock them. You want to show them off? Make a topic of it in the correct forum. Things like these only convince me to not waste my time even looking through their Duplicates group to trade.

Edit: Adding to my rant... So I sent a trade for the pony outcome I missed to another user. Their trade rules state (Among quite a good number of others):

4) I do not trade babies or pets with a unknown rarity unless it's a really good offer.

I sent them an Uncommon dog from two months back that was in their wishlist. It is an offer I would have accepted myself had the dog been in my own wishlist... They cancel the trade stating that:

Sorry I don't trade unknown rarities.

This actually annoys me because I read their rules and noticed that they did. I wouldn't have minded had they told me that they weren't interested in the offer, as it is their choice not mine, but do not contradict yourself please. Once more, if they aren't for trade, lock the damn group and don't make me waste my time...

I agree with the showing off deal..I keep the groups I don't want traded locked.

Ugh... I know what they said will probly be true, and its somewhat fair, but is still irks me when people tell me what the newborn will be....
