Coraline
Coralines mind was also in the past... Lost deep in thought.
Coraline sat up, muscles aching as she forced herself to stand for the first time in months. This was the day! She was sure! She would walk from this den once more! Her mother rushed to her side and told her to take it easy and not to push herself, gently nudging Coraline to her feet. Coraline stood, attempting to walk towards the exit, but was stopped by her mother as her mother told her to do her exercises first. She heaved a sigh and nodded, stretching out each limb once in a long stroke then did a full bow then looked at her mother, asking if she could go. Her mother smiled lovingly at her daughter and Coraline nuzzled her mother happily before walking towards the exit. She put her nose out, breathign in the scent of the pack. So much of her childhood stolen away... Because of one thing. She closed her eyes, breathing in the scent of the pack. She had done this many times since she had been locked away, it had helped her keep a sort of connection with the pack. Then, she took one paw step out, hearing the pack shush instantly. She took another step, heaving herself from the den. Her body and bones still aching and cried out in pain but it was less then it had been months ago. She blinked as the sunlight blurred her vision as she stepped out. She opened her eyes and scanned the pack, watching as the pack stared at her in shock. Most had thought Coraline had died in the den... Thinking the wounds were to great and she had been killed. No. She had survived. Her sister ran over and greeted her happily, giving a playful pup bow. Coraline blinked, she had lost so much of her puphood that this was so new to her. But she copied the play bow, her tail in the air, and the pack gasped. She turned to them and snarled, "I'm gonna go find Triant!" She had not known Jasef had died. This was a while after it had happened. She turned and galloped towards the Alphas den, shocked to find many wolves snarling at her and trying to keep her from the den. She growled back, attacking one and shoving them to the ground. She walked forward, sticking her nose ion and giving a small yelp of asking if she may come in... When a deep grunt came from the den, she raced it. She stopped, frozen, and was shocked to find Triant was standing along in the den. The shock in his eyes matched her own. "T-triant?" She asked, her voice not scared or weak but surprised. They looked at each other along time, as if seeing each other for the first time. They moved forward and Coraline sniffed at his shoulder curiously, trying to find any scent of a female or to find Jasefs scent... All gone. No female and no Jasef. She looked up at him as he told her he was Alpha. She smiled. "Good for you!" She said, wishing she had been there to watch the ceremony... Then... He told her she would have to battle the beta but she had the chance to become it. She laughed and said it would only work if he started to train her again, but he seemed a bit unhappy about this, as if the fact that she had to be retaught displeased him. She frowned and said, "I will work as a Warrior for now, if that is alright." She said. She had the need to offer to go fishing, but the coldness he presented was more then he had had the last time she had seen him...
