Rinayla was only mildly suprised as Brie listed off her titles. The amount of power that came from her could only mean that she held high positions but the one of an ice spirit caught her off gaurd. Rinayla had never met one before and only stories of their cold dispositions came to mind. Her calm blue gaze moved over the spirit as she talked with the girl, Sienna. Brie was graceful and her movements flowed as she spoke, her voice soft. The large lion at her side drew respect from Rinayla and she nodded her head respectfully to him.

The lack of contact with other beings was beginning to catch up with her. As a dragon she had been in no way expected to speak unless she wished it, but holding a human form she wasn't sure wether she was to join the conversation without question or wait to be adressed. Crossing her arms she calmly prodded her thoughts to the nature around her, calming her thoughts. So when the ice spirit inquired her name she spoke softly, focused on having her words make sense.

''My name is Rinayla Aduial.'' She dipped her head allowing the silver curtain of hair to envelope her willowy form. ''It is an honor to meet you, Ice Spirit.'' Her voice faltered a little here and she cringed inwardly as her accent rang in her ears. I hope that will suffice... She lifted her dark eyes to Brie her hair still brushing her shoulders and turned her gaze back to Sienna as the young Shura began to lead them through the forest.

The black cloth that made up her dress swished sighlently against her legs as she followed Sienna and Brie. She was perfectly comfortable now that they had started moving through the dense trees. Her boots crunched the foliage underfoot and her thoughts turned to the members of her company. She was looking forward to getting to know them. True, she had been hurt, and her instincts held her emotions and trust in check. But she had been alone for so long, what could it hurt to be with someone for a while?

As soon as Alonso started talking about growing up as a their, Leonardo instantly saw the potential Ezio had seen. He covered the whole spectrum, once a homeless orphan, but also a wealthy aristocrat. Quit drooling, Arno interjected. He seems like a snotty, arrogant kid to me. The fallow deer was keeping his distance, briskly trotting behind and keeping a "lookout" as he called it. "He seems perfectly acceptable to me." Leonardo messaged and he heard Arno snort pointedly. He grew up a thief, keep that in mind when your gold goes missing. "Technically, Ezio is a thief too. He's stolen more letters and jewels than I can count." yeah, after he became and assassin, Arno snapped. The trail turned sharply, and the forest seemed to have spit up another field smack in the middle of the dense foliage.Leonardo liked that about the forest, it was always unpredictable. He saw the look on ALonso's face and smirked, Alonso obviously wasn't used to the strange ways of this wood.

A thatch-roofed cottage stood before them, leaning slightly to one sides though trying to rest. A similar-looking stable sat further back, though it was much bigger than the cottage and was surrounded by pastures littered with horses. A thickly set old man was stabbing an enormous pile of hay with a pitchfork, and he looked up in surprise when he saw Leo and his companion.

"Leonardo? Back so soon?" He frowned, looking at Alonso's stallion.

"Well, I thought I should go ahead and buy myself a horse now that my student is here." Leonardo replied cheerfully.

"Hmmpf. The pony's yours then," He huffed, getting back to forking the hay. Leonardo cringed slightly.

"You see, I need a horse, something that can keep up with this man's feisty stallion." He said with authority. The man turned and examined Leonardo with a depending frown.

"A horse?" He sighed heavily. "What kina horse?"

Leonardo smiled again. "The best you've got." The man dropped the pitchfork, mumbling to himself, and started for the barn. "Alonso, could you untack my horse while I go look at the horses?" Alonso nodded, dismounting. Leonardo turned, and hurried up the small slop to the barn.

"When he first arrives, leave him on his own to make room for misbehavior. He knows the rules I have given him....."

Alonso watched his new mentor enter the barn and sighed, already feeling frustrated. Don't tell me you want my help and then leave me out here with the hay and the pony. He pulled his foot loose from the stirrup and walked over to the pony. It was getting restless as it saw its herdmates grazing nearby. It probably wasn't worth it to tie up such a little guy, Alonso could probably hold his own if it tried to kick him. He fiddled with the girth, noting it was straining, though it was at its widest. he unbuckled it and slung it off of the pony's back, leaving a dark sweat mark where the saddlepad had been. He hoisted the saddle over to the fencepost and managed to get it balanced and turned back to the little horse.

Suddenly the fallow deer burst from the forest, swinging its antlers wildly and snorting like a tiny bull. Though it was a deer, Alonso had seen pigs do plenty of damage to people with just their two-inch teeth, he eyes the sprawling array of dagger-like antler points and back up, gripping his blade just in case. The little deer surged past him in s fawn colored blur and ran right up to the pony, giving it a little jab in the belly. The pony screamed, kicking desperately behind it, but the deer ducked just in time. Then, the pony reared up and prompt took off into the woods.
"Merda!" Alonso cursed, taking off after it. For such a poorly bred animal, the pony was fast. He could only see the wisp of its flaxen tail as it charged through the brush, leaving a trail of rubble behind it. Alonso whistled sharply, keeping at a dead sprint after the escapee. Neve was soon at his side, keeping his stride slowed just long enough for Alonso to jump on. He leaned forward and gave Neve a kick.

They flew through the forest, leaves slicing at Alonso's face, barely protected by his white hood. They quickly closed in of the bolting pony, who had slowed considerably but still looked spooked. Alonso realized that he didn't have any way to rope the beast and cursed again. Sensing a nearby horse, the pony stopped completely, and Alonso moved up on Neve, until he was pretty much standing on his back. then he jumped, landing lightly on the pony's back. It reared, but Alonso was prepared, and grabbed the bridle, getting into proper riding position. Finally, silence.

Soon enough, it was broken. Not by sound, but by sight. He saw to figures in the forest right in front of him, only shielded form his view by a leaf sodden branch. They were surely heard, the horses were panting heavily form their sprint and he was breathing hard himself. Deer. Stupid, idiotic deer.

"(The things that I've loved the things that I've lost
The things I've held sacred that I've dropped
I won't lie no more you can bet
I don't want to learn what I'll need to forget

I like throwing my voice and breaking guitars
Cause it doesn't remind me of anything
I like playing in the sand what's mine is ours
If it doesn't remind me of anything

I am the sword in the darkness.
I am the watcher on the wall
I am the fire that burns against cold
The light that brings the dawn
The horn that wakes the sleepers
The shield that guards the realms of men
For this night, and all nights to come.

Kill the boy and let the man be born'

He could still hear the cries of the men pursuing him, but they were beginning to drift further away. Even if they did follow them in here, the forest was a maze. Never the less, Mori kept the pace as fast as he dared, knowing the men wouldn't give up that easily.

Mori hissed as a low-slung branch whipped across his face, leaving a deep cut on his cheek, but didn't stop to tend to it. He'd have plenty of time later. He managed to duck another overhanging branch, hoping his pursuers wouldn't be so lucky. Continuing to mutter gentle encouragements to Castra, he made sure to change his course at every possible opportunity, weaving through the forest with ease; he was hoping it would make him harder to follow.

A stream in his path, however, interrupted his escape. Castra tried to jump the stream, but misjudged it. When landing, her hoof got caught in between to stones and, next thing Mori knew, Castra was falling with the elf along with her. Luckily, he managed to throw himself away from Castra and avoided being crushed by her, but it was obvious she wasn't getting up any time soon. The dun mare was making distressed noises, her eyes wide and tossing her head from side to side. Mori's mind clouded with panic at the thought that Castra might have broken something; even is she hadn't there wasn't any way he could give her proper care in the middle of a forest. He immediately ran to her side, holding her down gently to prevent any attempts to get up, injuring her further. Gently, he checked her for injuries, feeling the leg that had caught when she fell. It didn't feel like a break, but the ankle was already beginning to swell and Castra whinnied in pain when he touched it. A sprain then: not as deadly normally, but he could hear the men getting closer and, with no way to outrun them, death was certain for both of them. Even if he gave the items he stole back -and he had no intention of doing that- he was fairly sure they'd kill him anyway.

Giving Castra one last comforting pat, Mori drew his sword and turned to face the source of the sound. If he was going to die, he was going to put up a good fight.

((I'll do Caele's later. WB >.<))
