how come no one seems to want to trade unless I majorly overpay?

eg, I offer a store pet and a early '09 rare for an '09 rare and a '10 uncommon *canceled*
I offer on a '10 uncommon they want a '09 uncommon, two '10 uncommons and a bunch of early '11s so I remove the '09 and they replied *trade canceled* "sorry I have been thinking and don't want to trade him" WELL WHY IS IT IN YOUR TRADE FOLDER!!!!

Just read someone's trading rules, completely put me off, not gonna trade with them.

4. True dates mean more than untrue.
7. I rarely ever cancel trades, so if your trade doesn't get accepted within the first few days, I have let it rot.

Yea...right, i'm not gonna trade with someone who overvalues true dates and who lets trades rot just because they are to lazy to cancel.

I would prefer a true date over a re release but the doesn't mean I would pay less for it or that its worth less and the other rule seems quite rude, I mean sometimes I think trades over and may forget about them but I try to keep my trade folder clean and go threw it every couple of days to make sure I haven't let a trade sit without a reply

Say what? That whole truedate thing is so pointless, it is the same picture of the same pet, with just another date, because of that the picture is not worth less, because it is the exact same pet.

It really depends on supply and demand. Whilst the pet is exactly the same, the fact that some players value the original date higher than the re-releases mean that there's more demand for it, making it more valuable.
