~FireClan~
Firekit didn't give herself time to answer, tearing into the remains of the prey until there were only some feathers and a few bones left. The flame-colored kit sighed in contentment and plopped down on the ground, burping on impact. Her paw flew to her mouth in embarassment. "Excuse me," she mewed, blushing lightly.
Foxflame tore through the jungle, sides heaving as he went. What demon had possessed him when he had made the choice to leave Nightfire alone? No one went too far from camp without a companion. He had learned this the hard way as a young apprentice.
Nightfire didn't like this cat one bit, but she sat down stiffly, not one to be outdone. They stared at each other for a few moments, the black she-cat's eyes igniting at the silence of the other cat. Just talk already, will you? her mind fumed. As if the thought had flown through the air and implanted itself into the white cat's brain, she tilted her head and spoke sweetly. "Is something bothering you?" She used the tone Nightfire's mother used to use when her kit was angry with the world. It had always sounded slightly amused, slightly condescending. You poor thing, it said, producing imaginary pouty lips to hide the very real smirk. Nightfire hated it. "I was perfectly fine, thank you very much, until you showed up and...and... Ugh!" The stranger seemed to revel in Nightfire's frustration and was very prepared to take advantage of it. "Yes, my dear," she sighed. "Unfortunately, we all have our bad days." Her white face was sympathetic as she spoke, bothering Nightfire even more. "Bad days?" the black cat practically screamed. "Who do you think you are, my mother?" The other she-cat clucked her tongue. "Of course not, my dear," she mewed. "I only wondered..." Her voice trailed off, as if distracted by some new thought. "Could it be a tom that's giving you such trouble?" This time, though, her voice wasn't motherly. It sounded more like the voice of a concerned friend or clanmate. Nightfire broke down.

Stormcall looked up as whispers rippled through camp, curious as to the source of the gossip. Limping into camp, the tom spotted none other than his leader Pebblestar, followed by the lame-footed Tortoisestep. Both were bleeding from various cuts and scrapes. Stormcall nudged Ashfeather's shoulder gently, but the she-cat had fallen asleep. He smiled and turned his attention back to his leader, who had leaped up onto the Tall Rock. The stone-colored tom listened anxiously as Pebblestar described the fox attack, but a smile crept to his lips when the leader called Tortoisestep forward. Stormcall carefully detached himself from Ashfeather and joined his other clanmates to chant, "Lightningstep! Lightningstep!" As Pebblestar and the newly-named Lightningstep headed in the direction of Ashwhisker's den, he rushed to intercept them. "Pebblestar," he called, slowing to a walk alongside her. "Would you like me to lead a patrol to make sure the fox is gone?" It sounded like the pair had wounded the fox when the scared it off, but it might still be inside the borders.

Heathersong nodded and took a step forward. She wasn't sure what Islandsong would have her do, but she hoped she could prove herself helpful. And she hoped Melodykit would be able to copy the moves.
Nightfall cleared his throat awkwardly as Jaypaw padded up. How was he supposed to teach this stranger? He took a deep breath, reminding himself that he had an apprentice back in IceClan that he had taught for moons. "So," he began. "How about we start by showing me your favorite move?"
Dirtpath nodded, confirming Whisperpaw's statement. "Yes, but we never want to use claws while training. Injuring clanmates is most definitely not the best battle strategy."
