Talking of that person who was going around asking for pets for their dream center.
I don't give a damn if it's someone's dream pet! It's MINE! It's NOT FOR TRADE! What has that person ever done for me?! D:< I bet if I DID trade it then it would of gone to some idiotic n00b >.>

So, throughout...all of October I believe, possibly including parts of September and I'm pretty sure November but I can't be positive...I'd been trying to trade with this one person for a Sunback Dog. I'd even agreed to do a "loan" trade and get them those pets in the future (which turned out to be every single rare 09 aside from the Nick Uni, up to August 09, plus a whole lot of very rare 08 pets) but they kept on adding pets from my Favorites or from Bidding groups, which I told them again and again that I could not trade, but they could add it to the loan trade. I'm offering a *whole* bunch of pets as is. Yet the trade gets dragged on...forever...forever....until I finally got tired of holding up all of my good spare pets for nothing and cancel it. I never really thought they were trying to rip me off until today (perhaps I'm naieve)

I traded the Yellow Sorbet and Razorback Tribal and Rainbow Horse that I was holding for them, and with a few other pets I got a Blue Toxic, a Black Eyed Galaxy, a Joker, a July 08 Rattie, and a Floppy Eared Tribal. I see this person online today, and since I've had such a meh time (as I'm sure I've complained enough about lol), I decided to see if I could get a trade with them done in one day. I sent them a PM and a trade, showing them the 4 dogs I liked, and offering 60 of my own dogs - including a Blue Sorbet, a Blue Balloon, my Blue Toxic, my Joker (although that was a loan until I get one in a trade tomorrow), my Floppy Eared Tribal, my Rainbow Horse, and pretty much all of the pets in my Arsenal and then some. I made it clear though that the Blue Toxic and Floppy Ear could *only* be used for their NonDogtag Moon Dog, if they were willing to trade it. I also said I would be geting a Red Toxic in the next few days - I didn't mention my Black Eyed Galaxy that I'm trading for the Toxic, keep in mind.

I wish I could make screenshots, but I can't so please, please, please forgive me for this but...I have to vent, I'm going to die. If I can get a screenie, I'll replace the text DX

And keep in mind that they've been told *many* times that they can't choose pets from Favorites other than what I offer, and that the pets in my Auctions and Bidding groups are *off limits* Bidder groups are the ones that hold pets that I'm bidding in auctions for other CS members.

So. Here we go. Remember, I had asked for 4 pets, which I didn't want all, it was just so they could choose 1 or 2 depending on what they wanted (as we were originally trading to do). And anything marked with a ** means it was in Favorites in a Bidder group

I guess it's my mistake for having sent a trade to them, but this is a member that most anyone would recognize, who always seemed sweet and helpful in the past, and I mean...I think I was just reverse-newbie traded or something (I hope that's it, because the other option is just greed)

I'm sorry to take up so much space but...I mean, I really thought this person was just a little misguided with trading, but this is just outright greed and after over a *month* of trying to make a deal that satisfied them...I feel like they were just playing with me or something

I think it's even worth more than the Jewel Sun O_x; Well nearly, but again, that's absolutely ridiculous. ._. I would love to give that person a piece of my mind.

Again not as bad as some of these offers, but realize, I've getting trades like this since the advent has started, as I have 2 Tribals and a Toxic, plus a number of Septembers and rares available for trade.

The few uncommon's I they added on my side, I would have probably traded more easily for the advents. I try to be more lenient around the holidays, but in no way would I trade the September, I have even said that, unless it's for multiples for the one. So what in the heck makes them think I would trade a tribal for that ?-.-

I've never really had this one happen before, but I just had a case of idiocy of this kind:

Me: *edits in some other advents that would be extras for me*

Them: *sends the trade again, offering a couple of reindeer horses that I don't need, and a malk spider*

Message: Clearly I don't need or want these pets, or I would have asked for them when I edited the trade last time. The only pets I was interested in were the ones I asked for. So if you are not willing to trade any of those, please don't send me any more trade messages.

I agree. The ones that really annoy me are the "quitting" threads or the "contest" threads that are never resolved. Someone posts saying they're giving their pets away (or certain pets from a certain group). Many, many people post asking for them or doing whatever the contest requires (including sometimes submitting creative stuff that took real effort on the part of the posting users). Then nothing happens. Months later you see it near the top of your "view your posts" section. Someone has resurrected the thread by posting on it the same as others had 3 months earlier (or some amount of months anyway) so you decide to check it out. You look at the person's collection who started the thread and see that not one pet is missing. Not a single pet was ever given out. It's really obvious on threads where people post the image of the pet they want because all of the images, even on the first few pages out of 50 some pages or more, still say the original owner's name. So obviously the person did not ever follow through. Of course this doesn't happen every time, but it's annoying when it does. If you're going to offer free pets you should really go through with it. Backing out, either because you're lazy or because you changed your mind, is pretty rude. At least tell the people though if that's the case so no one else wastes time posting in your thread.

*As a note I haven't had this happen to me recently but there are a few threads (at least) still out there and unresolved (I have no doubt) that this applies to.

That has happened to me before at someones adoption center, I sent an adoption request for just one pet about.. 5 months ago? Also posting on their thread. Still in the current trades >.> I'm just going to head over to my trading center and cancel the damn thing that's sitting there taking up space >.<

When I was new and trying to get pets from adoption centres, only about one in five actually gave me anything, even though I scrupulously followed the rules and instructions. Now the annoying thing is that I still have those adoption centres filling up my 'View your posts' list, so every time someone posts in them they're brought back up and I have to dig through them to find the threads I'm actually still interested in.

About an hour later

What they want: All of my 08 Augusts
Their Offer: Absolutely NOTHING
Their message: can i adopt?

Me: Cancel.
My Message: NO. I thought you could take a hint but you couldn't. STOP sending me junk trade offers or I'll just block you altogether. NOBODY on CS respects traders who have no idea how to trade.

A few minutes later...

They send me a PM:
rEALLY?!!?!? UR BEING SUCH A JERK. ALL THAT I WANTED TO DO WAS JUST ADOPT YOUR SPAR AGUST PETS!!!! BUT YOU JUST HAD TO CRUH MY DREEMS. PLUS I JOINED IN JANUARY 2008!!!! IN FACT I HAVE BEEN TRADING PETS SINCE FEBUARY 2008! I JUST MISSED THE ADOPTSIONS GOSH! DO NOT BE SO MEAN!

After a few minutes of laughing, I reply:
(1) Tone down the caps lock
(2) I'm not being a jerk, your being rude and annoying
(3) CS wasn't available for accounts back in January 08'
(4) Trading wasn't around back then, nor were account available back then
(5) Consider yourself blocked.
(6) Those Augusts-- NOT spares
