"Speckled moonlight i have gaven you an apprentice i hope you pass on all your skills to this young apprentice" mewed Snowstar she paused as she said apprentice thinking of her kit she had given up for her clan she blinked at Fastpaw and saw the apprentices swaying her tail excitedly but Snowstar didn't meet her eyes and just went back to her den without saying another word

Fastpaw was in a rush to find her leader the she-cat was worried sick since she say her mentor and fellow leader not being her usual self as she approached Snowstar's den she asked if she could go inside to speak to her thankfully Snowstar said yes

as she walked she sat right in front of her leader looking to her straight in the eyes she took a deep breath giver herself more confidence "Snowstar are you alright you weren't looking at me when i smiled hello or even when you paused at the word apprentice and look straight at me i had a feeling i have done something wrong and i ask if i had done something wrong a punishment from myself " as Fastpaw finished she held her breath waiting for her leader and mentor's reply

Snowstar waited for a long time as she waited to speak she looked at Fastpaw watching her shifting sideways and not meeting her eyes ,Fastpaw's eyes stayed locked at the floor she took a deep breath and told Fastpaw " Fastpaw remember that one of our warriors found you at the entrance of our camp" she paused and saw that Fastpaw looking into her eyes nod she didn't want to see her kit hurt remembering that day but it was now or never since no one knew the truth of this kits past or mother Snowstar countinued " i had a litter of kits no one in the clan knew i had kits but as i said i kept looking after them outside the clan not wanting anyone to know otherwise i will never be leader and i don't want to let my clan down and i didn't want to lose my litter of kits too so i gave birth to my litter of kits but my litter only had one kit a she-cat and non of the others of she-cat had a litter of one kit but i was the only one and i taught that this kit was vert special and she was i watched her grew up day and night and i now see her everyday i still miss her now im telling her the truth thats why i left you near the entrance for other warriors to ffind you and ask if we could keep you i sent one of our she-cats to look after you and my really sorry i know it was the wrong choice and i hope you understand and Fastpaw i named that name because you were fast at everything running, skills, learning and i LOVE YOU you are more than anything to me more than our grounds more than my none lives i love you more than anything please forgive me Fastpaw I LOVE YOU"

she waited as she looked at Fastpaw

Fastpaw replied : i....always knew the queen wasn't my mother but i didn't expect my mother to be as great as you Snowstar...mum MUM I ...I ...I FORGIVE YOU AND I...I LOVE YOU!! more than anythng in the world and i understand" she paused and hugged her true mother tight

and Snowstar replied" thats why i have chosen you as my apprentice to watch you close by and teach and love you just like a mother protecting and teaching her kit"

the two she-cat stood there and hugged there untill it was time to eat
