Ari shook his head, trying to hide his fear. "Scaring me isn't hard if you couldn't already tell." he retorted back.He gave a bright smile when Jacob said he could keep the cloak, and he pulled it close into him. "Cool.Thanks." Ari really tried to skip over the part about death.Or worse?He turned slightly paler, how could something be worse?He glanced around doing another 360. "I've seen you mostly in groups, so I figured as much.But you....your different." he said, not unkindly, towards Jacob.Ari watched, more like stared, at Jacob,giving a cute grin as Ari saw him playing with his lip ring again.

Jacob smirked slightly. "I did notice, actually." He teased, then frowned when he saw Ari pale a bit. "I just mean that you could become one of us. And to me, that's worse then death." He murmured simply, then shrugged. "I'm really just a punching bag to the others, so I hunt alone. Besides, everyone thinks the short guy is a weakling." He rolled his eyes and went back to spinning his lip ring. He noticed Ari's cute smile and returned it.

Ari gave a slow nod, but still remained pale. "I guess that would be, if you don't like hurting or killing others...." he drifted off.Really right now, anything was better than death.Right? He then gave an amused frown. "The short guy being weak?" he rolled his eyes. "Uh-huh.I can whoop *ss if need be." Ari added in his own mind, 'If I'm not frozen with fear that is.Which it usually happens.' He shook it off, then casually glanced Jacob up and down. "Not that I mind you talking to me, and all.But why are you?I mean...I am like.....dinner and all that sh*t."

Jacob shrugged casually at the question. "I donno. I prefer to talk to humans over my own kind. All they talk about is how many human's they've killed. Get's dull after awhile." He sighed quietly when he heard screaming in the distance. "Look's like Skye found dinner." He said quietly, closing his eyes. He really hated how Skye tortured his prey. "Besides, maybe by talking to you, I can keep you alive. It seems like the human population here is getting low. Soon enough the survivors will have to leave town or stay and fight. Once they're gone, we'll have to move to a new town and start over. I don't want that to happen."

Ari's eyes widened at the scream, and about fell over.Not that he hadn't heard the screams before.Just now he knew what was happening.He regained his composure and stepped closer to Jacob, setting a hand on his cheek.Ari gave him a sorrowful, understanding look. "I'm sorry you have to deal with this.You are very different than the others I have watched before.You actually give a sh*t about what is happening, though I know you can't change it." he answered in a whisper.Ari quite sucked at helping anyone, or offering advice, and hope he didn't sound to corny.If he did, ah well.....
