Ed laughed. He respected Mustang, but seeing someone else irritate him was awesome. He could have fun and not get yelled at at the same time. "Relax, Mustang. Business can wait for a minute." He leaned back on the couch and closed him eyes. Al looked over. "Brother, maybe we should listen to the Colonel... He seems serious."

Mustang sighed as Hughes started shoving pictures on his desk, messing up the pile of files he'd been working on. "Hughes, I really don't have time for this. We have some business to attend to." He looked as Maes pointedly, conveying that he wasn't included in whatever was going on.

Ed groaned. "Al, why do you have to be so mature?" He sat up and turned to Mustang. "So, Mustang, why did you call us here again? It better be a good reason..."

Hughes pouted as he gathered his pictures off of Mustang's desk.

Al laughed slightly. "It's ok, Hughes. Maybe me and Ed can visit you and Gracia and Elicia sometime soon."

The colonel rolled his eyes again. Why was it that the teenager was comforting the grown up adult? "Really Hughes, there's no need to be so dramatic. This is the military. There's no time for cute little girls," he replied coldly. Most of the time he put up with Hughes' irrational outbursts, but circumstances were trying his patience today.

As Hughes turned to leave, Ed turned to the Colonel. "Well, Mustang, spit it out! Why did you call us here? What do you want?" He leaned forward on his knees, glaring at Roy. Al sighed. "Brother, be patient."

The Colonel chuckled at Fullmetal's impatience. He had to admit, it was kind of fun to irritate him like this. He was just so easy to get worked up. Just then, Lieutenant Hawkeye came through the doors to his office. "So Colonel, I presume you've told Fullmetal everything?" she asked.
"Um...well, we haven't quite gotten to that yet," he admitted sheepishly.
Riza sighed and shook her head. "Colonel, how do you expect to become Furer if you can't even manage to inform your allies of circumstances without getting distracted by a teenager?"

Ed burst out laughing. "Hello, Hawkeye. Hughes kind of... distracted us. With pictures." Ed grinned and turned back to Mustang. "So, what are these so-called circumstances, Mustang?"
Al turned to face Roy as well, waiting patiently.

(Can you tell I'm procrastinating because I don't know what to say ? Also, I'm sure this isn't going to be right with the plotline, but don't ruin it for me! Where I am, Mae is still trying to get immortality.

Mustang averted his attention back to Ed. "We've just received word from Xing that Mae has returned with a philosopher's stone to present to their King."
