Actually there are thousands and thousands of him around if you know where to look. They're not necessarily for trade though any more than the rest of the pets from that month. That was the month before the adoption limits were put in place and people could just sit and keep hitting the adopt button as many times as they wanted. That pet was painfully common for quite a while.

agreed..i see him in a lot of older players' trade fodder. i don't see him going rare anytime soon, honestly.

Maybe you're thinking of the Brown 09 dog that went -Very Rare-, that was pretty recent.
