I also can't wait to see how these cuties turn out<3 I love butterwolves almost as much as I love rats, and this color scheme is one of my favorites so far. :]

I completely agree with you here, Toadstool. :3 The rats are stunning. Leurai did an amazing job. <3 We'll probably end up hoarding one (or two...or three. I think there'll be three outcomes - lime, lemon, and orange. Not many other citrus fruits around).

As for the b-wolves, I'm kinda on a verge of conflict. The color scheme isn't my favorite, as I don't like darker colors almost as much as I despise bolds, but these are too pretty to resist, especially with the touch of brown, which, surprisingly, is one of my favorite colors. <3

Gahh. And I love the dogs with the blueish blanket. They remind me of tree silhouettes, which fits in perfectly with the month of October.

(; There's always the chance that there will be things like yellow and pink grapefruits and blood oranges as well; the three colors shown on the newborn may simply be a prelude.

As far as I can remember, many of the butterwolves from previous months have had very elegant and tasteful designs; most of them rather colorful. =) That's one of the reasons why I love October's caterpillars: they promise something new and different.

I just zoomed in on my phone and am confirming the egg has a multitude of green and orange spots on the left side. Not sure how that ties in with opals, but the idea itself is lovely. :3

Whatever they're based on, the idea of iridescence is very welcome for me, and I'm very sure I will eat like them <3

But... since they're newborns and the adults may look completely different, I don't judge them yet. :3
