"Yeah, I haven't met very many people, and although Miss 'oh my goodness you are making too big a deal of it' over there seems promising, it isn't like I can do this. Chase, I just don't think I fit in here."
"You know, some people would kill for the press you get."

Grace could slightly hear the conversation on the other side of the closed tack room door.

"I don't know." said Kodi.

"Rye, it isn't like they are going to announce, 'Ryan Catcher, famous Cross country horse competitor moved to Stone Mill Stable!' on the news. Or at least, I don't think so."
"Max, it isn't funny. Seriously. You know that those reporters can be.... ugh."
"Yeah I know. But I think you make too big a deal of them."
"You should get over your splashing fear."
"Shut up."
"No, Rye, I won't." Max grinned.
"Maaax." Rye sighed again. "Well. Where's Flaire?"

Grace finally realized how she'd recognized Rye, she was Ryan Catcher! The Cross-Country rider! The wstern rider burst out of the door. "You're Ryan Catcher??!! Sounds like Morgan's got some competition!"

Morgan trotted Markee around the ring. She asked him to canter and pointed him towards a 3ft vertical. The stallion cleared it with ease.

Taz sighed and laid down, his light brown pelt rippled slightly "I guess we could just walk around... That or lay here bored"

"Sure." said Kodi, padding in the direction of the lake.

Rye sighed and slumped against the stall door. "Told you so, Max." She said, rolling her eyes. She brushed her hair out of her face. "Yeah, I'm Ryan Catcher. Deal with it."

Flaire trotted out of Tempest's stall, unnoticed. She headed out of the barn, enjoying the sunshine. Her paws danced over the ground as she noticed some other dogs heading towards the lake. She barked a greeting.

"You know, just 'cause you're a champion doesn't make you any more special than everyone here. We're all riders with dreams and/or careers." said Grace, placing her saddle delicately on the rack
