I would like to join

I ,shadow runner ,swear to protect all wolves.To speak up against anything that threatens them.Not because they are pretty,but because they are essential keystone predators.they have just as much of a right to live as I do. My friend rydag (a wolfdog) has made it even more clear to me.

I see alot of people hollering about how grey wolves are not endangered,and need to be hunted.
No they are not on the list anymore,so technically they aren't endangered. But wolves do not "Need" to be hunted.
Its called carrying capacity,they have been able to moderate their own numbers for hundreds of thousands of years.If there is not enough food,the weaker ones will die all on their own.

Would you rather that we didn't hunt the grey wolves and let them eat all of their prey? Would you rather have a pack of 50 wolves slowly starve to death, than be killed with a bullet through the brain?

No I wouldn't rather that they starve,I was just saying that they dont "need " to be hunted. Most of the time it isn't a clean shot either.They have done birth control in our areas, and that works fine too.If you neuter most of the males, and spay some of the females,it drastically lowers the numbers of litters born each year.
If that keeps them from becoming such a nuisance ,that people want to wipe them out,Then Im glad to do it.
I would just prefer the hunting to be more humane.It would be wonderful if every shot could be clean,but It just doesn't happen that way.
