Devan sighed quietly while she waited for the bud. Suddenly she noticed a boy nearby. It seemed like he was watching her. The thought made her blush and look down at her shoes. Maybe he'd say hello instead of just staring. It was making her self-conscious.
Pretty soon, then bus pulled up to the curb, and she climbed on. One of the few empty seats was toward the middle of the bus, jsut where she liked to sit. She slipped down the isle, headed for the empty bench, when suddenly she fell flat on her face.
Laughter erupted behind her.
"Loser!" somebody laughed heartily.
Devan took a deep breath, stood up, and dusted herself off. She continued down the isle and sat down in her seat, then looked out the window and ignored the taunting comments of the older kids on the bus.

romulous walked onto the bus with his hood over his head. he sat in the seat behind her. he leaned on the back oh her seat. "you ok?" he asked kindly

Devan jumped and turned around when she heard someone beside her speak. She was surprised to see the boy who had been at the bus stop. She smiled softly and nodded.
"I'm fine," she said calmly. "It's just... Sometimes I wish they'd think of something new, you know? It's always either 'trip the loser,' or putting katchup on the seats."

Devan giggled softly. "Let's hope they didn't hear that," she chuckled. "I'm Devan."

"romulous." he said taking off his hood. his eyes were a deep gray and a hint of wolf in them

Devan nodded. "That's a nice name," she said. "I guess we go to the same school. I haven't seen you before. Are we just in different classes?"

"no. i just started. today is my first day." he said grinning

"Oh." Devan smiled. "What classes do you take? Actually, if you're a senior, we might not have many together. I'm a sophomore."

"no im only a junior. I have chemistry, english, algebra, world history, art and drivers ed."
