since everyone else was makin' themThis is a Yuurph.
It is a special subspecies of wolf.
Yuurphs are actually a lot smaller than actual wolves; they average at about 28-30"at the shoulder.
They also have a different body structure; they have short, pricked ears, like an Akita Inu, and a large head with a short muzzle. Their necks and chests have a very heavier build; even if it may look like fur, it is actually the muscle. Their hips are about half the size of their chests, and their tail is about as long as one of their forelegs, stretched out and excluding their large paws. Their legs are fairly short; they are bulky at where they meet the body, then as you look downward, the bulk is quickly lost into a skinny limb before attaching to a large
pastern and three-toed paw. The claws on the two outside toes are small, whereas the one in the middle is double the size.
Yuurphs live in the area of Dannytopia dubbed "Ellipsys." All of their population revolves around that little woodland city. They do not attack humans necessarily; if a human attempts to kill them or one of their kind, they will attack, and they will damage quite severely. Though, they are actually quite domesticated, and sometimes enjoy having human company. A few people in the town have kept some as companions.
It is illegal, however, to place a collar on one or keep it cooped up inside a property or home. Yuurphs must be allowed freedom if kept as a companion.
Yuurphs, like wolves, are very social animals. They lives in pack of up to 14. They give birth to about six or seven pups in a litter. They mate for life. They live a lot longer than wolves; up to 30+ years. The oldest recorded Yuurph was 36 years old before it passed on.
However, because of humanity taking more and more of the wolf-creature's land, their population is diminishing quickly. They go into hiding more often now than they do walking up to a human and greeting them. Thus, the people are starting to think they have gone into extinction.
But theyare wrong.
Yuurphs have been thriving around that area still, but many have spread out further and further about the country. So now Yuurphs can be found just about anywhere if you look really hard.
Now, no two Yuurphs are alike. Their fur patterns have to be the same everywhere, and I mean
everywhere. Say, if I chose my fur pattern on my Yuurph to be spiky, then his forelock (all Yuurphs have forelocks), his back, his shoulders, his tail, his chin, and everywhere would have to have that same pattern. Even the smooth-haired pattern on this base could be one Yuurph.
The colors can be shared.Yuurphs can be all colors, but they must not be too flashy. Give them a grey-ish look if you are using unnatural coloring for these guys.
Ask any questions!~ I'd appreciate it.
Perhaps if someone would want one, I could make a competition..?
