While Sandpaw sat at the base of the tree,he hread a rsutling. A mouse popped its head out of the bushes and made its way towards Sandpaw. It had no idea he was there, until it was too late. Sandpaw looked up at the tree with the prey dangling in his jaws. He would bring it to her. He thought.

Icepaw woke up, blinking her icy blue eyes open.

Sandpaw was on the branch below Icepaw when she woke up. Wnating to surprize the apprentice, be slowed his breathing. He clawed his way to the back of the tree and made his way up. Then, he swung himself onto her branch, just slightly rustling it. "Surprise!" he meowed.

He shook his head. "Nah. I got it for you" he smiled. He turned away to stare out at the forest. "Wow! Its so high up!" he said.

"I was wondering if you could do a border patrol with me?" he asked, tilting his head to ont side.
