The Dance
The people are turning,
The music is learning
The words of the song are endlessly playing,
At the end someone calls my name
And i think it's all a dream
But one word and i realize that
It's just a surprise
And i'm glad your at the dance
I'm glad you're giving me a chance
A child of the flowers am I, With blossoms budding from my hair.
A friend of the Fairies am I, A crown of leaves and flowers I wear.
A daughter of the Earth am I, Walking Her ways with feet ever bare.
A sister of the waters am I, Flowing wild and free without a care.
At one with the blowing winds am I, Singing softly through the midnight air.
A keeper of the fire am I, Let me kindle your passions if you dare.
Connected in Spirit with You am I, Fused together as one in prayer.

Mother and Son
Lullaby for a Stormy Night

little child, be not afraid
though rain pounds harshly against the glass
like an unwanted stranger, there is no danger
I am here tonight

little child, be not afraid
though thunder explodes and lightning flash
illuminates your tear-stained face
I am here tonight

and someday you'll know
that nature is so
the same rain that draws you near me
falls on rivers and land
on forests and sand
makes the beautiful world that you'll see
in the morning

little child, be not afraid
though storm clouds mask your beloved moon
and its candlelight beams, still keep pleasant dreams
I am here tonight

little child, be not afraid
though wind makes creatures of our trees
and their branches to hands, they're not real, understand
and I am here tonight

for you know, once even I was a
little child, and I was afraid
but a gentle someone always came
to dry all my tears, trade sweet sleep for fears
and to give a kiss goodnight

well now I am grown
and these years have shown
that rain's a part of how life goes
but it's dark and it's late
so I'll hold you and wait
'til your frightened eyes do close

and I hope that you'll know
That nature is so
The same rain that draws you near me
Falls on rivers and land
On forests and sand
Makes the beautiful world that you see
In the morning

everything's fine in the morning
the rain'll be gone in the morning
but I'll still be here in the morning

The young scientist.... The curious girl
A meeting by chance.... One that changed them forever.
The girl sat in her stall, arranging the flowers gently. She sang quietly as she worked, fingers delicately twirling a lily before placing it in the vase with a few others. Brushing a few strands of black hair out of her face, she pushed her now empty basket under the table.
Her name was Lily, and she was a poor girl.
The young man walked down the street calmly, ignoring the stares and pointed fingers. He was the odd boy, rarely leaving his house. There were always unusual stories surrounding him.
The wind picked up, blowing his slightly messy brown hair around his face and playing with his white coat.
The boy's name was Stephen, and he was a scientist.
Okay... Here goes nothing.
Stephen wandered aimlessly through the town, eyes roving over the colorful displays. The festival always attracted all sorts of interesting people, and this year's was no exception. There were still the common people showing off: Joseph the grocer with his prize-winning vegetable, Marian the seamstress with another beautiful outfit, and Maximillian the acrobat, back with another spectacular show. Girls were running about in their best dresses, no doubt hoping they would meet the boy of their dreams. It was a silly idea to him, but it was still the town's tradition.
A small display of flowers caught is eye. Various flowers were tastefully arranged in vases, but the festivalgoers all passed it without so much as a glance. The girl sitting there was pretty but didn't look too hopeful. Well, a little good in the world never hurt anyone. He turned and walked toward the stall.
Lily sat patiently, although her hopes were sinking as the day was going on. Her richer friends had just left for the acrobatics show, and she wished she could go and watch. But she had to tend the stall, so she might as well try and make the most of it. All of the familiar faces had stopped by already, but this was the fair where a boy or girl could hope to meet their match. Of course, it would be funny if it was called the matchmaking and kissing fair, so everyone called it the Festival.
A young man turned in her direction and was coming closer. She hoped he didn't want a kiss, because she wasn't going to give one to anyone, no matter how hard they pleaded. But that didn't seem to be his intention, as his hand reached for the blooming rose.
"How much is it?"
"Hmm? Oh, only two bronze." He dropped two golden coins into her hand.
"I'm sorry, I don't have any change."
"That's all right. Keep them."
Surprised by his kindness, she nodded. "Thank you."
"Least I can do for someone pretty as you." She blushed faintly, unable to meet his eyes. "I'm Stephen. You?"
"Lily."
"Well Miss Lily, I hope to see you again soon."
"You too. Enjoy the fair!"
It's not over yet! I just need an excuse for her to run into him again.

anubis xx rain
She shrugged off the sensation of quietness, carefully picking up plates and stacking them.
He walked in the room, obviously pleased by the good deed she was doing.
"Good job, Rain."
His voice was sharply figured as he picked a little bottle from the table and drank the whole thing. He had put it in his pocket afterwards.
She laughed that he found her job good.
"What's so good about my job?" She whined, scrubbing the table.
"Well, you get good pay, don't you?"
She shrugged. "I suppose. Its only 5 dollars an hour though."
He laughed.
"Don't you get vacation time too?"
"No, im not going to be your servant forever. At least I don't think." She scowled. "By the way, why am I having to work here anyways?"
Out of a million questions she had to ask, she chose that one.
He slithered around to her side, admiring the now clean table.
"Debt."
"Debt to who?"
"Debt to me."
"For what?"
He coughed and glanced at his 3 broken windows, 5 vases, and nearly 30 other things that were broken. Not to mention all the bad things she had done for this society.
She rubbed her neck fragily and laughed.
"Oh." She said, calmly putting her hand back at the scrubber. "Sorry for that."
He laughed along with her.
"Don't mention it."
