Shear turned to them, sitting up. "hey." she called out, looking around. She walked a little, now very impatiant for the dogs to get here so they could get started. She looked around at the other dogs, trotting to Shadow. "are we almost ready?" she asked him, sitting down. Her coat still shone, and Dusty was not far behind. Dusty trotted up, and sat next to Shear. The stillness shoothed Shear slightly, but she was tuning impatiant again. "Shear, they'll be here." Dusty said, hoping to clam her down.

[So deal with it]

Shadow eyed Shear with slight annoyance, "They'll get here when they get here. No need to get impatient, it isn't doing any of us any favours." growling irritably he turned away from them and faced Gervasious and Knyte again. He couldn't believe the nerve of some of these dogs, did they honestly think that whining about how the others weren't here was going to get them anywhere? Taking a deep breath he forced himself to think calmly. Yes, they were being obnoxious and it was an unnecessary question, but at the same time everyone was antsy and nervous about the traitors and what the verdict would be. Truthfully he was a little anxious about the whole business himself. Keeping that in mind he relaxed his shoulders slightly and forced himself to be a little calmer.

Zephyr quietly watched Shadow speak into the silence. He was such a larger-than-life presence here and she could pick up on the tenseness in his body language. It made her glance over at Gabriel in habit. He was oftentimes her gauge on how to react to a situation. He seemed to care less; he was currently giving the black dog a quietly curious look. She sighed and looked up at the sky. The stars still twinkled like a carpet of gemstones thrown across the vast black dome. The air was mostly still, though little tendrils of breeze brushed by her nose, bringing her the scents of the other dogs along with the mundane smells of the field.
It's too bad that some dog chose to bring all this trouble down on us... she thought to herself. I understand the whole wanting to chase things. But I get all of that out of my system by bringing the goats home. They would taste so awful. The silvery dog wrinkled her nose at the thought.

Gabriel glanced over at her. Silly Zephyr, lost in her own thoughts again, he smiled to himself. Heaving a sigh, he laid down in the dewy grass and rested his head on his paws. He would nap while they waited.

Seeing a few dogs near by, the Indian Dog roamed the moist field. He Stopped once, lowering his head so theat the eager back paw could scratch the stiff, large ear, and then off he was again. The might King resentfully hesitated as his ears quivered with the sound other animals talking. Perhaps dogs or wolves, or maybe to his misfortune, a bobcat or a mountain lion. He crouched down, under belly lowered to the ground, and watched with wondering eyes as he saw them talking (Shear, Shadow, Dutsy).

His tail was stiff, and his fur bristled a bit, he was wondering if he should approach them, to see if they were friendly. He wasn't wuit sure if he could take on the number of animals that their were, but being and Indian Dog, he was bred for the risk. He cautiously raised himself up, until he was barely visible, and King sniffed the air. Well, one defintaly was a female. He didn't know about the others.

King made himself visible. "I come in peace, but I ask, who are you dogs?" King pondered, cocking his head a bit but still in a very polite manner. His chocolate brown fur was bristled in the wind, which whistled and whispered around and about. His tail was erect now, staying straight on the ground. The ground was nice, and the weather was to his liking, perfect fighting weather.
There's an old voice in my head that's holding me backWell tell her that I miss our little talksSoon it will be over and buried with our pastWe used to play outside when we were youngAnd full of life and full of love...

Shear turned and saw the dog. instantly intrested, she padded up to him. "are you a tratior?" She asked, her fun bristleing, but not standing on end. she had asked with no emotion at all, no suspision, no anger, or fear. she stared at the dog, unsure. "my name is Shear, by the way." She said, still eyeing the dog. "Who are you?" She asked, Sitting. Dusty padded up, not really caring what this stranger might be. "Hi! wanna play?" She asked, wagging her tail. Shear softened at this, and looked from The new dog to Dusty. "i am Dusty. their boring, All they do is sit around." Dhe said, nodding to the dogs at the Field. "Dusty! thats rude!" Shear scolded, though she couldent hide her smile.

Zephyr looked over quickly at the strange voice that arose from the far distance of the gathering of dogs. She saw the new dog, brown in color, and stared. She didn't know this one, had never seen it before, and her nose twitched as she tried to gather information from the breeze. Male, the breeze said, and around four years of age. Not much older than me...roughly the same age as Gabe... she thought as she glanced down at him. Rolling her eyes, she huffed and placed a paw atop his head again. He had been seconds away from snoring. With a snort, he awoke and moved out form under her touch.
"Dang it, Zephyr, I can't sleep a wink with you around, can I?" he grumbled under his breath.
"We have a visitor, just in case your highness felt like knowing," she retorted in a whisper, feeling somewhat embarrassed by her adopted brother's behavior. Why she felt so embarrassed, she wasn't sure. Normally she didn't care about Gabriel's need to sleep in public. Maybe it was the stranger's presence.

Knyte glared at the younger dogs. They needed to learn how to shut their traps. "Everyone stop complaining. The others will get here on their own time." Being a bit agitated he had raised his hackles and was in a position to attack anyone who dare say another complaining word. His brown fiery gaze shifted to the unknown newcomer. The gaze quickly softened. This dog looked like he could be a great help. Looking to Gervasious and giving him a curt nod; he turned back to the Indian dog. Approaching him cautiously. Although he said he came in peace, if this brute was a traitor he could attack at any given moment. "I am Knyte. Second of three Council. We are the dogs that gather together at night. The ones who hunt the traitor's who kill our masters livestock." Again his gaze became threatening. Almost accusing. "If you are a Traitor, I suggest you leave now." The words came out in a growl. Knyte could not believe how he was acting. But he didn't care. His life would probably end soon anyways.

"Come along Cap'n." Tomac spoke at they trotted throught the high grass of their outter feild. With their coats slightly damp from the early morning dew, Tomac stepped out of the tall grass with his sister impatiantly following behind. "We wouldn't have been so behind if the old man hadn't yanked out all my fur." She said as the tags on her collar jingled. Luke Reusser, her owner, insisted that she still wear her tags since he was told of live stock being killed by their own protectors. Through the trees they went until the familiar smells of the other pack members were among them, the clearing lay only yards ahead. "Good morning everyone." Tomac said kindly as he appeared in the cleaing, Baylee, with a faint smile folowed suit and dipped her head, taking a seat. "Morning, sorry we're a bit behind schedual, Luke held us up." And with that a faint sigh escaped her maw.
