Amy listened intently to what Jay was singing. She forced herself to make sense of it and understand what the meaning was. The image of the dog slowly melted away as he kept singing. As the picture completely faded and Amy could open her eyes and see Jay's room she felt much better. For the moment. As she came back to reality she realized just how much she must have been struggling in this version of the world as well. She felt weak, like she had just run a mile, and she practically collapsed from exhaustion in Jay's arms. She looked up at him the best she could from this angle and smiled weakly, "Thanks Jay."

[~Erica~]

Jay wrapped his arms more tightly around her as she sagged with exhaustion. He picked her gently up, "Your welcome Amy, it was the least I could do." he told her with a smile. He walked over to his bed and set her carefully down on it before pulling up a chair and sitting in it. "You alright now?" he asked her softly.

(I gotta go now... bye)

Erica smiled, her dark brown eyes softening, "It won't last long, but yes it's nice to have them gone for a while." She drew in a deep breath and sighed letting it back out again. The respite from the voices never lasted long, and the breaks came few and far between. The one thing she had noticed though was when the voice did disappear it was because she felt comfortable with someone, perfectly at ease. That's the way she felt right now with Antonio. He knew about her 'power' and wasn't judging her for it or for the fact that she talked to people that weren't really there. She smiled sighing again but this time in a contented manner still gazing up at him.

.:Antonio Wing:.

Antonio smiled, even if Erica got a small break he was happy for her. It must be hell to have to deal with strange voices in your head. He looked down at her, she was beautiful, perfect, she didn't belong trapped in a place like this, it was hard to imagine anything could be classified as 'wrong' with her. "But it should last for now." he said gently, thinking for a moment, he had something he wished to say. He opened his mouth and closed it again, he wished he had a better way to say it.

Erica

Erica nodded absently caught in a different world for a moment enjoying the silence. The unfocused look in her eyes disappeared as he opened his mouth to speak. Then he closed it again making her curious, tilting her head to the left slightly like she always did when something caught her curiosity. "What is it?" she asked him, "You looked like you wanted to tell me something?" Her dark eyes were bright with curiosity as she looked up into his blue one's. Blue, she'd always liked the color blue, Erica smiled slightly at that thought.

Antonio gave a little sigh, lossening his hug on her a little for when seh turned to leave. "I really like you." he said, he sounded so childish, and he felt so stupid, he really wished he had a better way to say it. He ran a hand through his hair and rested it on th eback of his neck, he always did so when he was nervouse, he gave a nervous little smile, trying to resure himself. He found himself frightened of her answer, that it would be the one he dreaded.

Erica froze for a moment taken by complete surprise. She had never, ever expected to hear such words for anyone. Most of things ever said to her were very demeaning and his words just took her by complete surprise. "R- really?" she managed to get out. She cleared her throat, "I was hoping for that, because I really... I like you too." she replied. Those words hardly begun to describe her feelings properly. She wasn't even sure she knew how to say what he made her feel correctly without sounding stupid.

Amy laid on the bed and attempted to sit up, as not to look weak, but slid down again. "I feel like a turtle that got turned over so it can't get right side up again!" She attempted to make a joke about how bad she felt. "Thank you Jay. That- that was horrible." Then she noticed his arm. Everything was a blur of what had happened now that she was back in reality but she knew she must have been struggling against him pretty hard. "Oh, Jay!" She grabbed his hand gently and observed the red marks obviously left by her. "I'm so sorry." Her eyes filled with tears. She hadn't meant to hurt him.

[~Erica~]

Jay chuckled slightly, but his laugh was mirthless. It wasn't particularly funny since she probably did feel terrible. "You're welcome Amy." he replied once more. He couldn't have just left her to suffer now could he have? Definitely not.
He glanced down at his arms as she took his hand. "It's nothing Amy it hardly hurts." he reassured her. He put a hand gently on her cheek whipping her tears away. "Please don't cry Amy, I'm fine really."

Amy couldn't believe herself. She was actually crying in front of someone! She never did that. She was supposed to help make people happy. Not make them angry or sad themselves! She turned her head away from Jay so he wouldn't see her cry. She wanted to scream from frustration but she knew she couldn't. She tried taking a deep breath to calm herself but ended up just crying more. She covered her face with both of her arms and told Jay in between sobs, "I. Hate. Crying!"
