Amy smiled and relaxed even more as Jay said he liked cats as well. Good, then maybe... She couldn't believe what he had just said. "Dogs?" Her voice trembled. "Dogs are... evil." She could feel her mind going back to that day on the block when the dog had attacked her and her little sister. She pushed herself off Jay's lap. The least she could do when she knew what was coming. "Jay. I think you should go. I-I can't..." She tried pushing the memory away but whenever her mind got clear and she would try to talk the image would just come rushing back again. She had her hands pressed against her eyes, as if that would help, and she was breathing hard, trying to get her mind straight.

Jay watched her, eyes widening in surprise as she got up. Dogs were...evil? Had he said something wrong. He had no idea why she was acting all strange suddenly. He stood and walked over to her wrapping his arms around her gently. "What's wrong?" he asked her, "It's okay you can tell me and scream all you like. No one will bother you." he told her gently. And if she got upset he knew a few moves he could use to pin her if it came to that. He hoped it wouldn't because he really didn't want to have to hurt her in any way.

When Jay wrapped his arms around her Amy got enough of her mind back to say what was bothering her. She could barely hear her own voice and her sentences were broken but she hoped she could get her point across, "Dogs. The reason I'm here. Hurt my sister. Jay, Don't let me go. I don't want to hurt you." Then she couldn't push the thoughts away anymore and she screamed as the vivid detail of her sister being killed ripped through her mind. Her mind was in a different place as she relived the scene. She tried getting to her sister but was annoyingly held back by something. She clawed at whatever was at her waist in an attempt to break it away from her.

"I won't let go." He promised softly before she screamed. He held her tightly against him but in as gently a manner he could. He grimaced slightly as her fingernails dug into the skin on his arms but he shifted the position of his arms around her trapping her hands. "It's okay Amy, it's not real." he murmured calmly into her ear to try and help her calm down. "Your alright, your safe."

Amy heard a voice come from somewhere. Who was it? "Your alright. Your safe." Her mind found a name. Jay. ((Argh! Sorry I can't focus at the moment. Give me a minute! ))

Jay rocked her gently back and forth. "It's alright Amy, everything will be just fine okay?" He told her in a soft voice, trying put as much love into his voice as he could to bring her out of her vision. Or whatever it was that was happening to her. "Come back to the present my love." He whispered softly in a calm voice. "Your alright."

Amy struggled between reality and non-reality as she heard Jay's voice. Her mind clung, to every word he spoke, like a lifeline. She was breathing heavily and struggling against him as the freaked out version of herself still tried to get to the dog before it got to her sister. "Let me go!" She screamed at Jay. She was able to talk but her motives were still with her nightmare. Her eyes were still shut tight but opening them would do no good. They were simply glazed over with fear and hatred for the thing that killed her sister.

I had the urge to have Jay randomly start singing 'Deep in the hundred acre wood where Christopher Robin plays, you'll find the enchanted Neighborhood of Christopher's childhood days....' ^^)

"I'm not letting go of you Amy, not till you come back."He replied gently. "That's not real Amy, nothing you see is real, come back to me my dear. Reality is with me not there." Jay whispered softly to her. He was trying to think of anything else that would help her regain control over her memories.

((I truthfully don't mind what you do. If you want him to start singing to her that might be... interesting.))
Amy couldn't bring herself completely out of it. She had gotten to a point where she could understand Jay but she couldn't push the thoughts away. "Jay, help me." She croaked. Then, as if wanting to pull her back in, the vision-dog attacked her sister. She screamed in fright as she felt herself slipping from reality again.

lolz he's not singing that though, imagine Jay burst into the Winnie the Pooh theme song ;p)

"I'm trying Amy I'm trying." he replied. What could he do? His thoughts whirred frantically, until he came upon an idea. What if he sang to her? He had been told her nice voice so that might not be a half bad idea. Now he needed a song... he grinned as one came to mind. Strong Enough by Mathew West. It was a really good song and it seemed to fit well with this. He took a breath and began to sing the beginning half of the song to Amy in hopes she would snap out of it.
