Why don't you?" She blinked, before waving her hands wildly. "Not that I want you to go! I mean, I guess I'm just worried you'll steal my position." Rin giggled sheepishly, tucking her hair behind her ear.

Sapphire opened her mouth to answer, but suddently deeply blushed, and looked away. "Well... Um... That plan about Toshirou becoming Captain Commander would be pretty cool..." She answered instead. " And I'm happy where I am. Even if I were offerd your position, I'd turn it down." She said reasurringly, however, she was still looking at the floor, as if that fact would hide her sudden blush when the conversation turned to why she didnt leave the squad. She finally raised her head, and responded to the question, her eyes a feirce turqoise. " Well, why dont you leave the squad? My answer would be the same. I wouldnt want to. I dont want to. "-

Rin GRINNED AT HER; DID SHE HAVE ANY IDEA HOW OBVIOUS IT WAS? AH, WELL. NO NEED TO EMBARRASS HER ANY FURTHER. "Me?" She said, pointing at herself. "I've been close friends with Toushirou since the academy. I feel more comfortable being around people I know well. Plus, because our squad is in charge mainly of internal affairs, I don't have to go on many missions. I can just grab a cup of tea, sit down, and scribble on the back of my paperwork while I catch up with the others."

Sapphire let the laugh that she had been holding back go. " Yeah? Well, let me tell you a little secret. Most of the time I'm not even checking papers. I'm doodling, or singing a stupid song. I finish my share of work way to quickly. " She said with laugh, her cheeks still a bright pink, but the smile faded as soon as it came. " I was always the loner. The one who beat up someone who got to close, not because she hated people, but because she was extremely claustrophobic. The one who was always doing homework, or practicing with her zanpaktou, usually getting cut... The one who had her nose in books, who enjoyed cloudy weather, cool weather and rain. The one who people called a vampire because she avoid the sun, and never went to the beach. The one who was the teachers pet, and a straight A student, who avoided crowds. The one who many people thought was 'odd' yet they never knew the real me..." She didnt know why she was pouring out her soul right then, but she just figured she might as well say it. After all, during her hole lifetime, Rin is the closest thing Sapphy had ever had to a friend.-

The LIEUTENANT'S SMILE SOFTENED A BIT AS SHE LISTENED TO THE THIRD SEAT; SHE HAD CERTAINLY GOTTEN THE WRONG IMPRESSION at first. When Sapphire had finished, Rin wiped her swords on the hem of her kimono, sheathed them, and jumped up onto the forested area they had come through. "Let's go," she said warmly, smiling.

Sapphire looked a bit confused at first, but then smiled too, and followed after Rin. " You know, you may be an immature, annoying, talkative person, but your an exceptional vice-captain... A friend." She said, flashed a smile, then flash stepped in front of her. "But I still dont like to follow people." She said happily, teasingly even. "Oi, Oi, Oi! Weres the Senkai Gate?" She asked, looking aroung, but she couldnt quite sence the opening between the two dimensions.-

"Captain?" Teirra sked looking at toshiro,"How bout you come with me and eliminate the hollows! Else I wont go!" she said, grinning cheerfully and flded her arms in defainence, her haxel eyes dance with laughter at her small Captain.
