"I don't really...know..." Carmen trailed off, her voice becoming wispy again. It startled her, really- it was almost like her voice was being stolen from her, taken, every time the wind blew past. However, she was certain that she'd become accustomed to it. After all, she was...air. It was the only way she could think to put it...
And that makes me important. Very, does it not? All living things on this planet depend on me to exist...they all breathe...okay, well, aside from the sea creatures. But still! I cannot help but wonder...I don't feel any different, but...

Mikey grummbled at the last thing Cara had said, maybe childish logic wouldn't ork... "I'm sure it's simple... Or at least as simple as it is where we're from..." he said. "Besides, it's not up to you if you get to come. Carmen just said no too, and I'm sure that everyone else agrees with us. If it comes down to it I can always zap you uncontious and Carmen can put your uncontious body up in a tall tree." he said.

Finally Katrina heard familiar voices. "Aha!" she cheered to herself. She started rubbing her hands, prepared to slap one of them. Maybe Carmen... Or Sam... Not Arctic, however much she hated that girl, she had a hunch it would be painful to get within three feet of her. Suddenly Kat stopped dead in her tracks. Flowing water. That was the last thing she wanted to be near right now... Ughh, whatever! As long as you keep your distance you'll be fine... she reminded herself and finally saw the group, all gathered on the shore. "What the hell, guys, what the hell? You can't just ditch like-" A boat caught her eye, and she bristled even more. "You guys were going to leave? Without me? Ughh, this is unbelievable!" Kat hacked up some iron, starting to lose her voice from yelling. Suddenly she felt her leg twitch, followed by her other limbs. Coarse hair was sprouting thickly on her wrists now too. In seconds she was a squealing, outraged hog, stomping and scraping the sand with her hooves.

Mikey blinked at Ket in surprise, if anyone else was coming they might as well come now... He thought to himself. "Kat... We weren't going to leave you. We were just getting everything together then we were going to come get you. We talked about it earlier and we all know how much you loathe the water so we weren't going to make you be near it until you absolutly had to be for us to go." he said, making the stuff up as he went.

"Exactly aaasss he sssaaaaid... Kaat..." Carmen said calmly, though a sort of hatred burned somewhere in that new part of her. She tried to ignore it- Kat hadn't done anything wrong, and there was no reason for her to dislike her...
"Pleasee calm down.... It waaaas only for your benefit... aaafter alllll..." Carmen continued breezily, her voice still rather wispy.
