Now... where are those idiots... Kat thought as she dragged her feet through the village. It couldn't have hurt to at least leave a note... She scowled and scuffed her boots in the dry, cracked dirt road. Briefly she wondered if they all were telepathic, but only with one another. It seemed likely enough with all the other crazy things they were capable of. But, no matter how much she tried, she could not send an angry telepathic message to anyone she knew asking them where the firetruck they were.

Katrina startled as she saw a familiar face inside a building she passed. Jamai..? she thought hopefully. She doubled back and glanced inside, but her shoulders drooped when the girl was not in sight. With a frustrated grunt, she punched the door and continued walking.

{...I must say... thats the most creative form of the work firetruck I've ever seen XD haha but I guess she could think something along the lines of "knowing them and my luck they're going to be somewhere by the water".... or something like that XD}

"I'm going with you," Cara quietly exclaimed, "I want to go on an adventure!"

Jamai nibbled a bit of the crust off one of the meat pies she took while she waited for them to get here with the boat.

"Cara, its going to be dangerous... Don't you think you'd be better off here?" Mikey asked, then decided that playing on her little crush would probably get him farther... "I'd really like it if you didn't get hurt, and if you were with us I'd be worried about you the whole time. I promise that I'll bring you something back if you stay."

"The boat would fit, wait, Cara what are you doing in the boat?!" Arctic asked startled.

Katrina had reached the end of town by now and still hadn't found them. She had a tear of iron running down her cheek, and her lips were charred. Wiping it away, and her nose, she growled and stomped her foot. This is unbelievable! If they care about some stupid reason why we're all so messed up, why did they all go and ditch me? I'm the freaking most important one! Fire creates and destroys! Humans wouldn't exist if my element hadn't existed! She tightened her fists. Now it wasn't just about finding them to get caught up on what had happened since she'd been sick-it was about finding them to kill them! She spat angrilly at the woods beside her. It burned a tiny strand of dry grass, but faded and died. A loopy strand of smoke lifted from the ground to the top of a short spruce, and disappeared. Kat sniffled and trudged into the woods, carelessly tossing sparks here and there. La dee dumm DIEEEEEEE... La dee doo DIIEEEEEE.... La dee deee DIEEEE... she hummed, screaming "die" in her head with every ember she flicked into the green.

Cara crossed her arms stubbornly. "I'm going with you," she persisted.

Jamai's acute hearing caught the sound of sizzling in the distance. "Oh, great," Jamai grumbled, "I was hoping she would be too late." She melted into the shadows, hoping she didn't have to deal with her frienemy, Kat, before the others arrived.

"Please stay, you could get really hurt." Mikey said.

"Bit you can save me before I get hurt," she reasoned, "otherwise Jamai will. She has a softer heart sometimes."
