"Well, I'm 17. I'm older so what I say goes." He smiled slightly and hugged her back. "You are not leaving here. Is there anything you want from your house? I could get it for you." He grinned in a way that said 'I have an evil plan.'

"No, I don't want you going over there." She said with a sigh, letting go of her grip on him. "I am sorry, you shouldn't see me like this, I am being a wuss." Alana said, fixing her hair and wiping her eyes again.

Ed turned her face with his hand. "You are not being a wuss. You are being a normal human girl with emotions." He smirked. "I could just sneak in and grab what you want, or be enough of a crazy kid that your dad chases me so you can get it."

Alana shook her head at him. "There is nothing I want." She replied, sitting cross legged across from him. "I feel so paranoid it isn't even funny." She said. Every time Alana heard some noise her head bolted to the door to make sure it wasn't her dad.

Ed put his arm around her to comfort her. "I promise he won't hurt you. You can relax. If he does come in, go out through the fire escape outside my bedroom window and run to the police station. I'll hold him off." He glanced at the clock. "If you wanna take a shower you can, too. And..." He glanced down at her. "I have a t-shirt and some pants you can wear if you want."

"I wouldn't leave you with him." Alana said, getting up when he said something about a shower. "I will accept that offer." She said, walking to the bathroom and looking around for a towel. Once she found one she closed the door behind her and hopped in the shower, it relaxing her a bit. Fifteen minutes later she got out and wrapped herself in a towel, poking her head out of the door. "Can I possibly borrow a shirt and pajama pants or something?" She asked.

Ed turned to look at her and smiled at the sight of her dripping hair. "Yeah, sure. Hold on." He hurried into his room and came back out carrying a large black t-shirt that said "I'm a sleep expert" and some gray sweatpants. "These are a little small on me so they should fit you fine." He smiled and threw them to her.

"The shirt suits me well." She said with a little laugh, noticing the words. "Thanks." She said, disappearing into the bathroom again. She came out a couple minutes later with the shirt and pants on. "I feel so...guyish." She said, looking at the clothes on her. Alana went back over to the couch and plopped down next to him. "Hi." She said, poking his side.

Ed smiled and poked her back. "You don't smell like vanilla anymore..." He tickled her slightly.

"Aww you are right..but I like smelling like vanilla." Alana said with a small frown, but it quickly turned into a grin when he tickled her. "You wouldn't happen to have any vanilla perfume would you?" She asked with a smile, leaning on his side.
