Yes, I'm also not against hunting animals if they constantly harass you. My favorite animal right now is a fox, which probably won't be my favorite animal for long, but still, if a fox constantly harasses you or something, then by all means, do shoot it or do all you can to get rid of it. Set up traps and whatnot if you have to.

I bet three quarters of the people on this thread like wolves because they're popular, and make up silly little excuses that they don't like wolves because they are popular so that they look good. You wolfaboos are making me like wolves less and less.
Wolves do kill people, it's a fact. They may or may not get random urges, but they will kill a lot of people if they overpopulate badly enough.

Humans are the most overpopulated? Yes, true. What are you gonna do about it, hunt humans? That's murder. We're more important than some wild dog. Humans and wolves are not equal. At all.

I agree with you at the first part. I like wolves, but not because they are popular, I liked them even before I found CS.

But, i dont agree at the last part.

I dont think wolves and humans are not equal. Or any other animal. They are both a living creature, and it is not fair that we like on more just because we are on of them.

Example, do you like more dogs or pigs?

I have never said that I supported or was against wolf hunting. I'm against poaching wolves that are endangered, but because that's wrong and illegal. Grey wolves, for example, are not endangered and it's sad in my opinion to see one die, but I'm not saying, 'That's completely wrong, don't hunt wolves. What did they ever do to you etc.' So to make this clear: I don't love the idea of wolf hunting, but I'm not against it because it's necessary for both the lives of all wolves and for other animals lives (including those of humans).

It's like this: If you kill ONE zebra, it feeds a pride of lions, hyenas, vultures, and other animals. How? What the lions don't eat, the hyenas and vultures do. Anything that's left other animals eat. So killing a wolf probably does the same thing but to a different varity of animals.

Where I live, if you don't live in the country, you live in a smaller city\town\village (nothing like New York or Las Angeles or something of the type). There are two major cities that most people out of state know about and that's about it. So if a wolf is killed, it's to prevent livestock from being killed and for the protection of the humans. There are enough wolf preservations that it would even out eventually anyway. If a wolf weren't to be killed, worst case senario, the farmer loses his cattle and chickens, horses and pigs that he makes a living off of and the wolf pack thrives. So the farmer now has no money to pay for the gas for his tractors so he can plow his field, he looses his crops of which was his last source of income, and now he has no money for food, shelter, water, and other necessities and in the economy, can't find a job, no money to buy a smaller house, and now he has nothing and will probably die. So I'd rather the wolves die than the livestock, crop, and eventually (again, worst case senario) the farmer and his family.

You know...I must agree with Frost Bite, please, everyone, don't take offense, because I don't want you to feel badly about me.
But I think this topic has really strayed too far, beyond any way that we can fix it, and maybe I will, someday, make a new topic so we can discuss wolf hunting.

you have some points, but at the same time, you don't have a point.
you do have a little bit of a point about the humans vs wolves, but still, just because we might be better, dose not, and i mean not, mean that they should be killed cuz we are better!
you are right about the, wolves kill people. and yes, i must say, if the wolf kills people, it should be killed, BUT... it might have been the persons fualt! what if the human was at the wolf home, and the wolf killed the person to get the person away, but the wolf got blamed! thats just wrong!
i have loved wolves all my life! i don't just love them cuz they are popular!
