They sat parallel from each other. The table was small, prim, and a bit lopsided; a packet of sugar sustained the leg to prevent wobbling. She dipped her head a bit to hide her eyes.

He reached over gently and with his thumb, tipping her chin up.
"I'm not gone yet, my dear," his voice was thick and low and it actually scared her a bit. "So when I am you close your eyes real tight and just think I am here."

She held her gaze, choking slightly when trying to say what she wanted to- the truth. "Like... L-Like it always has been?"

"Yes." He hid his face and she only saw his profile, a sliver of his eye. Her teeth dug into her lip, yet it only made the tear slide quicker down her cheek.

First was the table. It collapsed and their arms, which were folded on top, fell to their sides. But the bodies where next as the chair legs snapped and then they just sat. The back of the chairs held up along with the sturdy seat. Dishes were dancing through the air and pots smacked themselves together, chortling in their sudden take over. Slowly she noted that he was faded, just so slightly. The jaded skin he wore - not from jealousy, but from pride - was slipping from his body to leave a pale canvas. Even his emerald eyes, the ones that could extend forever, were fleeing the scene.
He giggled, and inside of his mouth was the green, all of the colors he'd wiped from his person. "They say a picture's worth a thousand words," breathing in, he continued: "But this one's left me speechless."

This was just breathtaking. I love it. ^^

I live in a world where a game is played non-stop. It never ends. And everyone has to play.
There are many strategies to the game. The hide strategy. The disguise strategy. The sly one, the only-come-out-to-play one, the abrasive one. And many more.
What is the game? Well, I'll get straight to the point.
From the moment you're born, you begin to play the game. Even if you're just a newborn, you have no idea what's going on, you just cry and eat and giggle and sleep. You're still in the game. They plant a chip in you, right when you leave the womb. It's like a walkie-talkie of a sort.
The point of the game is to kill your target. The "walkie-talkie boss" will name someone, anyone. And you have the kill them. They don't know you're coming, and they might not even know you. Simple, right?
Oh, yeah, and I forgot to mention: at the same time, someone may be hunting you.
The more targets you successfully kill, the more your notoriety goes up. The more posters that show up around town, the more people who know your face, the less likely you'll sneakily kill them without them knowing who you are.
And the more people you kill, the more people will be trying to kill you.

"Hey, I thought you had practice."
There was a momentary laugh on the opposing end of the line in reply to my statement, and I couldn't help but smirk a tad. "Nah, I skipped out. Just wasn't in the mood to deal with it." Now it was my turn to laugh as I leaned back in the desk chair, my eyes continuing to glance over the flashing lights of the television screen every few minutes to see if I couldn't try to pick up on the show where I had been interrupted. Not, that I minded all too much.
"What about you? I thought you had said you'd be busy this afternoon."
I paused for a moment, trying to remember when I'd ever said such a statement but I brushed off the thought quickly as he continued to speak on the other end of the line.
"Anyways, I didn't call to ask you about the life that you're obviously not living, but I called to invite you to join me and the guys for a bit of skating and maybe a movie. You in?"
Hardly a second passed before a large grin broke my remotely humored expression.
"Count me in."

He laughed once more, shaking his head a tad as he kept pace with me. "No, I don't mind, it wouldn't be fair to you to just leave you behind. Considering the guys obviously aren't interested in slowing down for your sake." I laughed once more myself, and a faint smirk appeared on his face for a moment before he focused on what he was doing. "God, your skating skills are terrible aren't they?"
For a moment I smiled but I lost it a moment later beginning to laugh light heartedly for a moment, stopping against the side wall, my hands holding me steady against the sill. "Well goodness, someone's subtle today." He smirked, rolling his eyes before stopping beside me, still hiding an evident laugh. "Look, I'll show you. Just try to maintain your balance, you can do that much can't you?" I didn't reply to such a statement, only side glancing at him with an evidently humored expression. He smiled in reply, glancing down at his feet for a moment. "All right, try gliding on your feet, rather then stepping. Glide one foot at a time, being sure to keep a steady movement with it." For a moment I just stared at my feet, and as he took a few steps forward, I began to slowly skate myself hardly looking at him. I was still slow, and terrible at skating to say the least, but I hardly cared at least I was getting the hang of it. "Hey, Zeke come try this!"
The shout came from one of the guys, and I smiled as he skated off, joining the guys on the opposing end of the rink.

I hardly had to glance away from the paper upon which I was writing furiously to know who had approached. A small smile threatened to reveal itself upon my lips, but I managed to hide it as I finished writing. I didn't glance up yet though, noticing his feet drop on the bleacher seat before me, and I knew he was trying to get my attention while trying not to disrupt me. "What?"

He seemed as though he would laugh, a smirk evident upon his lips as he leaned back in his chair, seeming to need to think before replying. "Does what everyone is saying ever confuse you?"
I paused before replying, my elbow resting upon my knee crumpling the paper beneath it my chin being held within the palm. "What do you mean?"
"You know, how everyone keeps talking about us?"
I smiled a tad in reply to this, taking my time before replying.
"I suppose it can get a tad tiring to hear it, after all, I just don't see why people can't accept that a guy and a girl can be such close friends."
For a moment I thought I heard a faint sigh from him, but it never did register, and he smiled in reply.
"I suppose that people just don't understand us, you know?"

"Well, even I can tell, you two obviously share a connection..."

The Daughter Of The Moon

Aphalia was the Goddess of Stars. Her mother was Diana; Her father was Cupid. She had three Guardian dragons, and her eyes shone like the ocean.

Rhode was an orphan from the city of Nero, who would wish on Aphalia's constelation that he might find someone to look after him.

"Excuse me kind sir, may i have two eggs?"

"Era Aphalia , succurro mihi!!! If i give you to eggs, how ever shall i give my wife the thirteen eggs she needs for the loaves of bread for the temple?!? No, street rat, you may NOT have two eggs."

"Sorry, sir."

"No, you are not. Go to your teacher."

"Yes, sir."

Aphalia was in the village and heard this, and she approached the boy."Dear boy, why are you not in class, where you can learn the ways of the world."

"I'm an orphan..."

"Dear boy, this cannot be true. Come with me to me house, i will take care of you.

~Him~
Once a year, Once a year was all he got to see her. On hat one day, February 14th , he got to see his love, Cupid's daughter. Yet still he waited in that same place once a year on that faithful day to meet her. It may not have been a lot but to him , it was everything. It was better then marrying somebody he didn't really love and seeing them all the time. One may call him a hopeless romantic, a fool for love but that is not what he believed. He would wait forever if he had to.

~Her~

Once a year on that lovely day, she came to see him. Her love, she hadn't tricked him like people believed. He loved her for her and that meant more to her then anything. So she continued coming back to her love. Once every year. It wasn't ideal but it was enough. She could look forward to that one day, when her father was making people fall in love and she was falling in love.


~Their story~
The first day they met was in a wonderfully lovely meadow. She was picking flowers and braiding them into her long hair. He had been to the meadow many times before and peeked out form behind a tree. "Hello Miss, are you lost?" He had questioned for he had never seen her around before.
She smiled at him and shook her head. "Oh no sir, I was just resting." She replied, her smile never faltering.
He nodded, and smiled in return. "Of course, My'lady, I just had to ask." He commented, mystified, this girl had such a happy aura about her, not many people had it.
She stood and glanced toward him. "So, what is a charmer like you doing alone on Valentine's Day?" She questioned, a grin playing on her lips.
He smiled at her. "I could ask you the same question, but we aren't alone, for we know each other. Let's stop pretending we don't my love. I am glad you are back." He bowed and offered her his hand. "A dance, my dear?"
She let her grin break free at the mention of their little charade. They always met the same way, replaying the time they first met. She took his hand with a chuckle and curtsied. Starting a dance, they had made on their own. When they grew of exhausted from dancing to a step they knew by heart, they sat down and watched the stars. They knew that the day would be over soon they knew they would be separated once again. Goodbyes were never needed though for it just reminded the two of their unfortunate circumstances. As he fell asleep, she kissed his head and went with her father to wait another year to visit her love.

~Their End~
The boy came again the next year and waited. He waited for hours and began to worry. He heard loud thump and rushed to the source. There he saw her, his love, shot by an arrow. He came to her side and pulled her into his arms, he pulled out the arrow to find the words 'Your Welcome ~Cupid' At first the boy was angry but then he saw the smile on her face, the peaceful smile. He then realized what was going on, they would soon be together forever. He then mumbled a few words. "I am ready, come now and take me away." He buried her then laid himself next to her grave. He fell asleep as the sky went dark but never woke up, she had come to take him away, so they could be together more then a day.

~And it is said that if you come to that meadow on that fateful day, You will see the flowers dancing to the step once danced by the two loves.~
