Intro

Ellie is a girl going into 6th grade. She has just moved, and knows no one here. This may be a problem.
Bullies, the popular group, and other girls. Who's real? Who's luring her into a trap? Ellies a a checker on a checker board, where a wrong turn could mean doom. Will she survive 6th grade?

C H A P T E R 1

"Ellie, wake up, or you'll be late for the bus!" shouted Ellie's mom. Ellie bolted up and rushed to put her clothes on and brush her teeth. She couldn't miss it. The first day of Middle School! It had to be perfect. Eating breakfast while brushing her hair, Ellie checked the time. 10 minutes 'till the bus! She made sure she had everything and rushed outside to her stop.
As she climed on the bus, the first day of school chatter was almost deffening. But the it stopped. Everyone was staring, studying her every move. She sat down in the first seat, hoping not to be bothered. People started whispering, pointing, and glaring at her. She stared out the window.

The bus skidded to a stop and let everyone off. Ellie walked in the big maze of a school and went the way her gut told her. She came to her locker and tried the combinaton. No luck. She tried again. No luck. She tried one last time. Nope. She kicked her locker and went to a teacher.

The teacher used a master key and the locker opened. Oh, how much Ellie wished to have that key. She would ony use it for her locker.
She grabbed the books for her first 2 hours so she would have to make so many trips to that dreaded locker. But she finnally noticed what others were doing. Because she was so worried about herself, before she didn't notice. A few girls were whispering and pointing her way. As the bell rang, she ran to her first class.

Elliie had finished most of her classes. All they were about was school rules and such. How boring. She set off for lunch, realizing that almost everyone was there before her. She snuck past some boys having a football conversation and skipped them. What a bad choice that was...
