Jay offered Arowin a smile. Truthfully she did not want to get the prince into to much trouble. So thinking she said "oh I chased after the prince and I was no paying attention so X-Caliber is now in a hole a I ended up stabbing myself." she knew it was mostly her fault. Taking a few more steadying breaths she continued "I think we will need to be more watch full. We encountered someone out there and he attached Rebecca but I did not want to stick around to ask questions."

Arowin nodded she then suddenly walked to the fire and grabbed a sand bag nearby. She pulled out her dagger and cut it then poured the sand in one fluent motion over the fire killing it without smoke. "Jay, I know your hurt but I need you to fully close up the stables, put full feed bags over the horse's muzzles and then meet me in the main hut. She said pointing to the larger hut from an oak tree thousands of years old. She then walked to the hammock and gently awoke Chris. "Up you get sleepy head. It's going to be a busy night. We are expecting a guest. I need you to make sure everyone has a bow and arrow. Getting the able bodied people into the trees about the deck and then wait for further instructions." she said and kissing him quickly. "If I don't come back, take this map and get everyone out of here." she whispered and then dissapeared into the darkness again. The map would lead them to an old castle, her fathers. It was much deeper in the forest and it was vertually inperitrable if they didn't know how to get it, the map showed where the keys were in an old tree by the gate.

Frank shuddered awake, the sounds of voices disrupting him. He sat up watching as Arowin ran round ordering this that and the other. He rubbed the back off his head and rolled up his blanket placing Diads saddle back on, noticing Emerald at Diads feet. He smirked, yawning and stretched "And i wonder why you lot are all cranky, your up at ridiculous times" he joked quietly.

Jay nodded and said "well that's what the canteen is for." she from another swig and made her way down to the stables. Even with the injury she moved swiftly over the snow and over to the stables. She was a bit jumpy her hand resting frequently on her dagger. When she was done with the horses she closed up the stable and made her way to the oak. She was wondering if Arowin would let her go and get X-Caliber soon, she did not want to leave him out in the cold.

Arowin walked to Jay with a rope and her horse Brander. "Let's go." she said and mounted up before pulling Jay up behind her. She gave Frank a shuttering glance. "Just keep your head down drummer boy." she said before cantering towards where Jay pointed.

"Drummer boy?!" Frank spat, growling slightly as he began brushing down Diad with his hands, massaging his legs. He rolled his eyes as Arowin left with the girl on back, he was extremely confused by the situation.

Rebecca watched as the two rode off. She giggled softly as Arowin called Frank a drummer boy. She tried to smuther her giggles but it wasn't working very well.

Jay directed Arowin towards where X-Caliber was trapped. When they got there Jay dismounted quickly wincing as she jarred her wound to much. Walking over to the hole she was greeted by a soft nicker. Jay called gently down to him "hold on we will get you out." Turing to look over her shoulder she said "any ideas?" she did not really know how to get a horse out of a hole this deep.

Arowin grabbed the rope and tied it around her waist. She carefully slid down to the horse and calmed it at the bottom before fashioning a quick but strong harness around him. There was a slight slope, too steep for him to make it up on his own. Arowin stossed the end of the rope to Jay and told her to tie it to Brander and then help the horse pull.

Jay caught the rope and with a quick practiced movement she secured it to Brander. Grabbing Brander's reins she pulled him forward so that he strained forward and slowly but surely X-Cliber made his way out. As soon Jay was sure that he was all the way out and in danger of falling back into the hole she ran over to him and wrapped her arms around his neck. X-Caliber responded by lowering his head and giving her the best hug a horse could managed.
